Teddy's pocket awareness (what was supposed to be one of his strengths) is actually just terrible. All he does well is throw accurate passes in the short to mid range. Nothing else.

I never wanted Cam back. I wanted to tank for Trevor with Grier. I knew Cam was done and I certainly knew Teddy's ceiling. I was arguing with the people who thought Teddy's 5 games with NO (of course ignoring his 30 passes against the Rams) would prorate to 30 TDs or something crazy like that. He had one great game against a piss poor TB secondary at home. I was right.

Samuel was wide open for an easy TD on that second down play.  TB meanwhile was locked onto Robby the entire time.

It's not just the team.

Newton isn't anything close to what he used to be, and is declining further as the season progresses.

Bridgewater isn't the answer, but Newton wouldn't have been the answer this year either.
