Is Zach Wilson becoming the consensus Huddle pick?

The school with the most NFL starting QBs?   NC State.  Glennon, Wilson (not giving him to Wisconsin), and Rivers. I think Brissett was a starter last season.

I definitely think it's an easier evaluation when you can watch a guy play with a team that is relatively average and is going to face some teams with a significantly higher talent level. You don't really get that opportunity with a guy at an elite program. You might see that guy face off a few times with teams of similar talent level, but you rarely get a chance to see that guy go out there and face a team that's flat out better than his.

Yes and No

I love me some Wilson and would like him here.  But its a coin flip between him and Trey Lance.  And I am leaning a little more towards Lance.

1. Think Wilson will be QB 3

2. Lance has the higher upside.

#2 is the reason why I like Lance more for us.  Teddy aint going anywhere next year and expect him to start next year.  So sitting Lance behind him a year like Mahomes and Alex Smith.

Don't forget about Ryan Finley in Cincinnati.

QBU baby!

IMO their are three very intriguing QBs for us with Fields, Lance, and Wilson. I'd be fine with any of them. I'm just hoping that the one we prefer is available for us or at least one that we think is a franchise QB that is worthy of our draft position. If so, there should be no hesitation with the pick.

PFF says this is a top 10 offensive line right now. Shrugs.

Skewed by multiple factors. One, Moton bumps it up. So does Okung. But Moton has not been resigned and Okung is never on the field because he’s already half way out the door. Which I am hoping Hurney already knew bringing him over and doesn’t plan on something stupid like an extension or tag if he doesn’t retire. He is no good if he isn’t on the field. And he is not the future, gotta stop patching the oline like they have for the past 7 years and stop gambling all the while letting the QB get hurt all the time.

Secondly we all bash TB for being a check down king but at the same time rank the oline as high? TB has what the 4th quickest release time in the NFL? Doesn’t Brees arguably have the best oline year in and year out more or less with the same release time and scheme? This oline is not asked to do a lot...at all. Protect for 5 yard passes 90% of the time...

Lastly the oline has played lights out...for quarter 1 and 2 of this year. Quarters 3 and 4 when they’re needed most and the game is on the line, they’ve disappeared. That alone will rank you average...but is it really?  All around stats are not going to tell you this. Again we all bash TB for not being able to close out a game, but the oline takes the cake on this one.

This team needs a long term answers and future talent on the oline, as of now it has none. This isn’t a this year issue, it’s what got our franchise QB killed and the FOs inability to fix the mess of an oline has been an issue going on for a decade since Gross and Kalil retired. Their ineptitude for actually fixing it is really starting to show and they’re murdering  the cap in the process. Even now we will suffer resigning Moton at a premium not only because he wasn’t signed earlier but because he and I’m sure his agent know this team is desperate. And we all know what Hurney throws out when he’s desperate. His numbers are going to sting. Ineptitude.

More importantly the FO needs someone capable of fixing the issues. It’s obviously not Hurney, we can all only hope it’ll be Rhule.

Yea Wilson is my favorite realistic pick. Might even like him more than Fields, but not quite ready to say that. Definitely prefer him over Lance.  Gotta be a QB, I can’t stomach another season of Teddy

I still like Fields better.

Dude looks like Cam Newton with good mechanics.

Me personally, I have mixed feelings because I absolutely did not want Herbert, (then he turns out to be a day 1 stud) but the reason I didn’t want Herbert, is because I didn’t wanna get left picking over the scraps at the QB position with a high draft choice. Zach as of right now is 3 or 4, in terms of comparison to Lawrence, Fields, and maybe Lance. my feeling is that next year is a year to go for an gold ,and not settle for silver, now all that is subject to major change, I.e Lawrence draft dodges this year to avoid the jets and to enjoy being the king of South Carolina another year. But even so, that pushes me toward a year where we get pick of the litter, be that with trading down this year to trade up next year, or simply sucking next year (unlikely with this staff barring injuries) but that’s just it, I can’t make a definite decision because or Herbert. If it were up to me as of now, I gamble on next year, but as I watch more of him that may change ether way, whoever Matt Rhule picks to lead his team ill be as pumped as always for this exciting team.
