Is Zach Wilson becoming the consensus Huddle pick?

There are 4 solid QBs in my opinion. Lawrence, Fields, Lance, and Wilson. Jones and Trask are the 2nd tier that probably need more talent around them to be great. If we get one of the top 4, I’ll be happy.

Where would place Sewell at with those 4 QBs? For the panthers and overall.

Relative to his position he is probably a better prospect than most of them but that doesn't matter if you need a QB.

If you have a top-10 grade on any of those QBs you take them over Sewell even if you have a top-2 grade on him.   Would I reach for Trask or Jones, no, but the others yes.

QBs influence wins and losses more than any position on the field, and its not even close.

Ending up with Fields because Wilson charges up the draft board wouldn't be a bad consolation prize. Panthers in a good spot to develop Fields behind Bridgewater for a season. Wouldn't mind watching Bridgewater poop around knowing there's a young talent developing and waiting to take over.

I think we're in a very good spot to get the $3 B prospect off the board. I just hope that in hindsight we can look back and say that the Jags choose poorly.

Yeah fair point, he is a bit small. However, with the current rules where you can't sneeze on a QB, I don't think it should be a consideration factor for QBs anymore (unless they have repeating injury history coming in)

The 300lb lineman is coming one day. NFL sized and NFL strong. Small QBs scare me for the long-run.

I was a Drew Brees fan when he was a Charger.

He's a HOF guy but from what I've seen Greg Hardy and others do to his body makes me want to throw the towel in for him at times.

Drew is tougher than 95 percent of guys. While I've seen Cam get abused, illegally in my eyes, the toll these beatings take on 200lb guys vs 300+ guys is huge, especially when young QBs usually have suspect protection.

When you get hit and all of your ribs snap like brittle twigs, your body is trying to tell you something. Loudly.

I fully expect him to give it one last go in the playoffs but I honestly don't think he should.

I prefer Lance over Lawrence, think he'll be the better "pro". Hes better than the fallen Wertz was as a prospect and he went #2. Hes a better throwing Cam, but doesnt have all of Cams rushing ability. Ooozing with all the traits that are needed/wanted in a 2021 QB.

Ive stated my opinion on preferring Sewell over the QBs, mainly cause panthers are not ready for QB. The main reason why most of the #1 overall QBs fail is they goto the team with the worst record. Like the panthers they have many holes, QB is just one 1 out of 22. If the panthers draft wilson and put him behind the total new OL, rip Wilson. Panthers will be drafting in the top five for the next five years. Then the huddle will be confused as to reason and be non-stop complaining. So I see why they want a QB....

Thats true. Would you place a top five pick behind a brand new OL in 2021? A new OL with a couple rookies and given the small cap space cheap vets? If you opt out/sit for the year, Teddy gets hurt and do you still NOT play him? Say a miracle happens and Teddy makes it the whole year with the new OL, buts its still 32 out 32 ranked for 2022. Do you sit him another year?

Food for thought.  I am also big on building a line but this isnt the year to pick a tackle early in the first.  That was last year.  If you listen to Dane Bruglers Prospect to the Pros podcast he breaks down Sewell and his film and he would have been like the 4rth best tackle last year.  He is high on him and thinks he probably is the first non qb taken but there are issues with him.  worth a listen
