1st: Trey Lance- no not Kyle Wilson, and this isnt a shot at Kyle Wilson.  Wilson is shooting up boards, but word is that Scouts are still absolutely in Love with Trey Lance, who IMO has the bigger upside.   Lance is the perfect QB to come in and sit.  This is the perfect scenario, ive compared Teddy to a KC Alex Smith.  Mahomes redshirted his 2st year behind Smith like Lance will with Teddy.

 

 

2nd: Tyson Campbell- thought of as a mid 1st rd pick going into the season.  Inconsistency and a nagging injury last year pushes his stock down.  The former highly ranked HS prospect has still shown flashes and is oozing with potential. 

 

 

3rd: Alim McNeil- first off, im a UNC fan, and I still really want this kid.  First off he is a Freak.  The former HS LB turner 320 pound DT is on Bruce Feldmans freak list.    This is not a shot at State, but the 3-3-5 they have him playing the NT spot in has not helped his pass rush potential.  He HAS  been a top notch run defender there.  And while some people may roll their eyes at having 2 "NT" guys starting.  Both not necessarily for their pass rushing.  And even though its a 3-4 vs a 4-3.  See what the combo of Suh and Vita Vea has done when healthy with the Bucs D.  Bucs had one of the better front 7s in football.

4th: Alaric Jackson- Jackson has been Iowa's starting LT for awhile now and has been solid overal.   Scouts though dont think he will transition into a starter caliber OT in the NFL.  But tools wise, I absolutely love him as a OG prospect.  While people are focusing on the Bigger problem of Moton and Okung hitting FA.  Both starting OGs are hitting FA as well.

 

Trade: Panthers make a move to trade back up in to the 4th giving up one of its 2 6th rd picks.

Jeremy Ruckert-  Ruckert reminds me of a less athletic  George Kittle (not a shot at him, just Kittle is a FREAK)  Kittle fell later than this.  Ruckert is a overall solid pass catcher and Very willing blocker.  The TE clas is Deep, so getting a stud like this is a Win.

 

 

6th: Dazz Newsome-  at 1st as a Heels fan, I said No way he is around this late.  But stepping back.  He just may.  Newsome isnt the biggest body or the fastest, and really may be limited to the slot in the pros.  This along with the depth of this WR class, I think he may be here.  Fortunately for us, we may need a Slot WR as Samuel is hitting FA.  Dazz comes in and day 1 competes for that starting WR role in the slot.

 

7th:  best kicker on the board-  we have been crippled with kicking woes for several years now.  Slye is also hitting FA.
