There's no way Lawrence, Fields, Lance and Wilson all pan out. It just doesn't happen that way in the NFL.

Top 11 picks.  Eli, Rivers, Big Ben.  That's probably the closest comparable of it happening.

And that's the worry. People just want a QB because they don't think Bridgewater is the guy.

Lawrence is off the board for us. Fields probably is too - but he's also only started for a season and a half, which is a worry.

So you're left looking at Lance, who terrifies me as he's dominated an awful level of football for a single year - he's a massive project that ideally you take in the third round based on measurables. Then Wilson, who I need to see more of, but I'm less enthused than I used to be.

Then you throw in Jones who's getting first round hype and Trask who should probably win the Heisman at this point.

Six first round QBs? Mental.

Saying there is no way Lawrence, Fields, Lance and Wilson all pan out is kind of just you guessing.  I mean Eli, Rivers, and Roethlisberger all paned out and they were drafted with the first 11 picks of the same draft.

You think I want anyone other than Teddy. There's definitely some truth to that, but not necessarily with our 1st round pick. We should only be taking a QB if the guy we want is available.

100%. Getting the right QB is what it is all about, not the next best guy left on the board and checking a box of needs.

We have so many areas where we could improve, why waste a 1st? If we ended up with that LT it would be a consolation prize for missing out on an needed upgrade at QB.

They can after next season.

yeah but they're in a place where they're gonna need to look at SERIOUS painful cuts. like julio jones kinda moves.

the nfl right now is about plugging a young qb on a rookie contract into a ready to compete team. the falcons are in the "double down and hope everything falls into place" stage

There's serious questions about how well his traits transfer to the NFL. In the Florida games I've watched, there have been a receivers winning a bunch of 50/50 balls.

Correct

1. Weaker arm

2. Stiff, not mobile

3. System makes him look better

4. Kyle Pitts isnt coming with him.

Though this last one is possible as hardly anyone has a 1st rd grade on him.  So could go Pitts then Trask in the top of the 2nd.

I look at the class from a few years ago. Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and Lamar. 3/5 of those have worked out pretty dang well. Darnold has basically been abandoned by a talentless roster and a clueless head coach. Rosen is the only definitive bust out of the five in my opinion.

I think a rookie qbs success has much more to do with what type of situation he is coming into and the coaching rather than the talent that player possesses.

However, The jury is still completely out on this coaching staff and franchise providing a rookie qb the pieces he needs to be successful.

The top DE in the class goes at the bottom of the first? This is a rough draft projection.

Top DE?

This is the 1st ive seen Jones outside of the 2nd.

Gregory Rousseau sitting out this year hurt him a little.  He was always projected off his upside.  Dont think anyone has him edge 1 anymore, thats actually Payne.  In fact, I know a few people who are higher on the Phillips traslnsfer kid now who has stepped in his place.  The Penn State kid is a FREAK who is going to shoot up based off his combine.
