It's the QB. Teddy refuses to take any chances. The windows get smaller in the redzone. You're not often able to throw to wide open targets (even underneath unless it's 3rd and long) in the redzone. Brady thought he could scheme around Teddy. He can't. No one can. He's a liability.

...which goes back to Brady being the biggest culprit for our QB situation.

Remind me, who do we blame more on here for this failed Greg Little fiasco? Little himself? Or the guy who was responsible for bringing him in?

Dude, just stop. We've been through this before.

Pretending that you have inside info when you don't  a path to respect. And when people find out you don't, leaving and coming back with a different ID isn't going to make it any better.

I never purported to have any insider information.

That said, I do understand how the Appaloosa Model works (it's really quite simple) and for anyone who does it's perfectly obvious how Tepper is internally managing the Panthers at this point.

Just hang in there, it will become obvious to you as well....at some point.

Probably shortly after one of your predictions goes wrong and you leave the board to come back with a new ID...again.

I have no problem admitting it when wrong...if Tepper installs a formal GM in the manner of and with similar powers to Lynch & Beane...I will gladly admit to being wrong.

You Mr. Cut & Paste will never have to do the same because you're unable to form and express a personal opinion ---  on anything!

Dude, I'm honestly not even sure what your point is other than to try and tell people you're a football expert because you watch a TV show about billionaires.

Let me clear it up for you...

Simple version of the org chart:

                                   Tepper

                           Hurney <----> Rhule

                              Everyone Else

The points are:

1.  Hurndog will remain with the Panthers for years to come -- "contract expiration" signals nothing.

2.  Tepper will not insert a new level/position between himself and Hurney/Rhule...no traditional "GM" will be hired.

Capiche?

This would be a good time to quote someone who has actual information that didn't come from watching a TV show on Showtime.

I would say he most certainly has final say on everything, but he does value the opinion and experience of Marty.

That's Verge talking about Matt Rhule from the thread about control.

As to Hurney being the GM for "years to come", while that's possible, pretty much nobody sees it as likely. It's acknowledged that he might stay on for perhaps one more year, but the stream of "no comment" from Tepper and Hurney himself isn't exactly encouraging on that front.

It Hurney were to stay for one more year, the belief is that it would be to help transition to the next GM, but the general belief is that he'll stay only through June, if that.

You should probably start working on what your next ID will be, just in case.

As I have stated, repeatedly, Hurney hasn't functioned as the GM since Tepper bought the team --- Tepper fills that role and will continue to do so.

Hurndog has been repurposed in a scouting/snr-mgmt/PR role, the "GM" title is for show and nothing else.

Mr. Cut & Paste pulling "the general belief" scheme outta the Never Had an Original Thought Playbook.

LOL.

So the narrative you're pushing is that Tepper himself is doing the GM duties?

Well, "original" is certainly one way to describe that idea.

Rhule would certainly not have signed up with if the owner was like this. Of course the owner has final say on everything, but I doubt he is heavily involved in the scouting and decision making process.
