Too bad Tepper doesn't read this forum.  You know it's not just some troll hanging out here thinking we should fire a good GM.  We have some many knowledgeable posters.  It's hard not to believe that part of our problem is our GM.

I have to believe someone from the Panthers organization reads this forum. It’s too good of a resource for the team to get insight into how the fans feel. Probably just some intern that writes up a summary, but still. If they are just ignoring this forum and acting like the teams performance and decisions exist in a vacuum, that’s another problem. Teams should care about how their fans feel but I guess we don’t really know for sure if the Panthers organization does.

I know many former Panthers fans who have lost interest in the games for many reasons. The biggest one is obviously team performance. The Panthers are garbage right now, and no one wants to watch a loser.

Some stopped watching because they were strictly fans of Cam. Can’t blame them, he was an exciting player with star power.

Some even stopped watching football in general because of the Black Lives Matter movement.

We have exceeded expectations this season. We have a bright future ahead of us. Prior to the season no one expected us to be competitive in every game. You are lying if you say you did.

I’m not totally pessimistic about the losing, yes they’ve been competitive in most games. And I hope this team has “grown” and wins more games next season. But I think more major changes are needed before this team will ever return to the playoffs. New GM and QB being the biggest ones.

You want perspective?

It was somewhere in the '98 to '02 years, doesn't matter exactly when for this.

My daughter who was born in '90 told her mom that she hated Sundays because daddy was always in a bad mood.

Having the most important person in the world tell you you're fuging up their day because you take the games too seriously has a way of putting this into perspective.

I disagree.  This forum is an awful place to come for insight into how the fans are feeling.  This place flip flops more than a 10 lb bass on the bottom of a hot john boat.  "TB5 is the answer!" . . . three weeks later . . . "It's PJ time!"

ffs.

There are some cooler heads here and I try to keep focused on what those folks are saying, but as a whole, this forum is full of reactionaries.

You’re right that you might not want to take the pulse of the team on a game day, especially after a loss. But I find it hard to believe the team is completely ignoring this forum as a source of information on the general pulse of the fanbase.

The Huddle is like the 4Chan of the Carolina Panthers fanbase.  It’s basically a toxic echo chamber of contemptuous reactionaries.

That’s like if our government decided to start basing policy decisions off of Facebook comment sections.

-”Mr. President, Louanne Johnson from Alabama commented that we need to start executing illegal immigrants”

-“Hmm...how many Likes did it get?”

-”Over 3.5K”

-”Get me ICE on the phone, IMMEDIATELY!”

I think that's actually giving this place a little too much credit. At least with Twitter, Facebook or 4chan if you dig far enough you can find a few levelheaded hobbyist boards and pages that have nice communities. There's nothing here to take refuge in except the main board which is ok for 6 days of the week but my goodness after a loss or win there's no levelheaded posting in sight.

I still prefer coming here over anywhere else though for Panthers news and takes, like Brian said there's a group of good posters that I like hearing thoughts and opinions from.
