Hurney Scks ...Got it.. How do we fix it

Because if you look at the previous 2 seasons, and even back into the 1st Hurney run, this isn't how he has ever operated. He isn't changing how he operates in his 60s.

This offseason and draft is textbook Rhule style. And Rhule may have tried to trade down in the first for extra picks because he knew we had a lot of holes to fill. 

Some things dont have to be said outright. You can just see the difference in this organization and Marty fuggin Hurney isnt it.

  Why would I post quotes when I just said that any public quotes should be taken with little value. I’ll stick to the same common sense that has basically predicted everything that has happened to this team since your Uncle Marty took over. It’s called understanding football beyond what I can Google up.

 Because he just got back this year. The above article seems to say different. 
 

  So two of the best players at their positions(Kamara, Williams) a very good C(we passed on to use two picks on an obvious mistake), a Starting S(we passed on for a QB who will probably never play again) compared to Dontae Jackson and .........Gaulden, Little, Grier. Sure that’s even...lol. 
 

 We could add Moton and Samuel but Hurney wasn’t around for that. 
 

  

Of the list of names mentioned - only Gaulden is a sure fire bust. The rest are still rostered and being developed 

from the last 4 drafts the Saints have 14 of 23 drafted players still rostered (60%). The Panthers have 24 of 27 players still rostered (88%)

The argument can certainly be made that the Panthers roster is not as strong. But they have also drafted more players and a much higher percentage are sticking on the roster

And what teams are these players rostered. After being cut. And what impact did all these picks actually have on there respective teams? Are you really trying to debate that the Panthers have drafted better than the Saints in the past 4 years? That’s ridiculous. Not too mention this is about Hurney and he wasn’t responsible for more than 2018-19. 

   The Saints found a solid rotation DT and an All-Pro PR in UDFA in 2019. The Panthers signed a bunch of AAF players that we haven’t heard from since. 
 

   The Saints are spending beyond the limits trying to win a SB in the window they have. The Panthers are spending money to fix the mess of a roster that Hurney has created for the 2nd time and try and win 5 games.

No not dying to argue the Panthers have drafted better then the Saints.

the discussion was started saying that Hurney needs to be fired because he can’t draft. And at the same time the poster mentioned 6 foundational pieces that were drafted by the Panthers 

my point is that the draft - past the first round - is a complete crap shoot. Every GM misses on more than they hit. So to say Hurney is a bad GM because he has not hit on enough draft picks is a ridiculous statement. He is on par with every other GM JB the league in that regard

The standard is 1st and 2nd round are starters.  3rd round players are contributors and 4th through 7th are projects but should contribute within a year or two.

We drafted a player that didn't even make the final 53.

You mentioned this before and I have asked you.  Name me a team that only hits on the first round and are a perennial contender.

  Except Hurney only drafted 2 of those 6 players. Both 1st rounders. Hurney drafted ONE Pro Bowl player(Kalil) in 13 tries with day two picks. What other GMs with that kind of experience have been nearly as bad.

There have been articles that says Hurney overruled Rhule but nothing that says Rhule has 100% control of personnel decisions. So you did pull it out of your ass.

No. Most people judge GMs on wins and playoffs. Where Marty had a 98-110 record and made the playoffs 3 out of 13 years. It’s called builders an entire roster. 
 

And the Panthers played in ONE SB under Marty.

Rhule is not the same type of coach as Fox/Rivera. Hurney gets the players his coaches want. For example Rivera wanted to run a 3-4, Hurney got the players for the system.

  Whatever helps you sleep at night. Just rack this year up as another pitiful season under Marty. It’s all him that led this team to 4-8. 3 for 14 now. Is that the answer you are looking for. 
 

   I’ll put what I’ve predicted for the Panthers up against any writer on the web. Any Panther reporter. RR. Igo. Only person that has been as accurate is on here @stbugs. Just as we told you Marty would trash this franchise again and he did. I don’t need other people’s opinions to see what is obvious. But you have never been able to handle that.
