Their combined career TDs actually are really close (within a few TDs), which is why I thought you were talking about their careers.  Although technically Baker has started 9 more games than Lamar so that's still a point for him.  Ravens used to just bring him in for a few gimmick runs a game during his rookie season before they realized he was actually good.

Another pick for Lamar. Yeesh. What. A. Fall. Off.

The echo chamber that keeps amplifying it's hate for Bridgewater has come to the point it thinks pretty much any QB having a decent college year is going to be an instant upgrade and champion NFL QB.

My sense is it would have been impossible for you (or anyone else) to more accurately capture & present the situation...

...with fewer words.

Exemplary work fella.

Went back and watched the game again, and honestly, there is nothing about BYU v CC that should have changed any opinions about Wilson.  That was a good game between two good teams.  Wilson made a few mistakes.  He also got let down a number of times by his receivers when he delivered some GOOD balls that might have changed the game.  He also got let down by his line, who were getting manhandled.  CC getting pressure with 3 and 4 rushers is not a good look.  At least if he comes here he'll know what to expect from our line.  :(

Worth a watch. Wilson has some crazy arm talent. There's a lot to like in his game. The more I watch the more I like.

Kid is throwing with anticipation and that translates to the NFL.

I did not see the "red flags" that seemed to alarm this guy, but he does a good job of breaking down film.  Yes, he could have thrown a deeper ball here but the checkdown was a safer throw and it scored.  Yes, the pick was there, but I think it was a back shoulder throw that the WR did not execute--but yes, he left a WR over the middle--and that WR (the #2) might have been decapitated by the safety.  If you have man coverage on your #1 WR and the S does not help, you go there most of the time.

I am OK with Wilson--the weaknesses he points out were cognitive, not physical, and he will learn. I like him.

That was my take.

Doesn’t make sense man. Guys are meh as hell.

Big10 announced they are bending the rule for OSU to play Northwestern for their game. If they win, they likely seal up a top 4 spot for the Playoff. Oddly, I think ND will beat Clemson a second time and Bama will beat my Gators. So 123 will be Bama, ND and OSU.

Oh yeah. I didn’t anticipate the Big 10 actually helping Ohio State. Now that they did. Everything is over. ND gets murdered by Bama another time. Clemson faces Ohio State again. And Bama vs Clemson again. Sigh.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
