So what will Tepper's expectations be next season?

I don't think we can determine just yet. I mean we need another good draft to grab more starters, but even then the team will still be very young with rookies and 2nd year starters. I thonk that us where free agency becomes a key. Having a good draft and getting a couple of key free agents to sign woukd be a big step, and put the team in a spot to finish .500 or better, maybe playoffs.

How is this year a step back?  We win one more game and we will have the same record as last year.  I daresay this year has shown us a significant increase in effort from the players thus far, despite being a FAR less talented group overall.  I don't consider this year a step back at all.

That said, I also don't expect us to take a step back next year.  I expect our overall talent level to improve, and thus our record.

Since Tepper has been the Panthers owner they have played 44 games and lost 28 of them. This means they have only won 16 and have a winning percentage of 36%.

If I’m Tepper I expect to start winning next year with at least a 9-7 season...minimum.
So far, other than the practice dome I have not been overly impressed with his mgmt style. Another losing season and he will continue to lose the fan base.

Yeah but George was TRYING to get fired.

Hurney isn't....

oh

oh god

There is an episode where Elaine is afraid of a mail room clerk so instead of firing him she promotes him through the ranks just so she doesn’t have to deal with him but of course it back fires.

if cell phones were around during the time Seinfeld was on air then most of the shows plots and storylines could have been easily resolved.

This is a multi-year rebuild and Teppers answers in interviews makes me believe he knows it. I don’t expect the playoffs but I do expect a better record.
That is why I am so adamant about getting a QB this draft. Because we may not be in position to get a QB after this draft. Plus the unknown of not knowing if the draft in 2022 or 2023 is gonna have any QB prospects worth trading up. Either that or resign Bathwater. Yuck.

Improve? Year 2 is to soon to do a playoff or bust ultimatum year. Lots of good from the coaches and some areas where they can and should improve. Even if we have an A++ draft I don't see us as contenders, hopefully more competitive and squeaking out a winning year for sure. Looking at the NFC East is really lowering the playoff standard for me anyways, they are all terrible and someone is going to have to go to thr playoffs to get embarrassed. only what's the point if you are that bad, another game isn't a gift.

If Hurney is gone after the draft then it's a win for me. It's like seeing Whitehead lose his playing time, it makes sense, is completely deserved and is the right thing to happen for the team.

I am excited to see what the new staff does after this year and with a full offseason to be involved from the beginng.
