Dear Mr. Zod... What is it about you and Davidson?

Exactly. And he adjusts when people figure out what he's doing. So far Davidson's failed at both this year.

How has he failed at maximising our strengths? Our strength is rushing, and we have the third ranked rushing offence in the league?

Teams know were going to run, and yet we still run on them well. Why stop that? Jake sadly has not been at all reliable this year in the passing game, and Moose has dropped of as a number two wr. We dont have alot to go on

Then how did we have a top ten offence last year. And a current top 5 rushing offnce this year? Despite Delhomme being the quarterback.

Yes we have great talent, but at the same time a good off cordinator take advantage of the stregths and maximises it. He works with what he has.

He's the beneficiary of a great RB duo and good OL. We're going to put up some numbers running, no matter what. He's just along for the ride.

How did he do in Cleveland? How about in Charlotte without Jake? Last year he went 12-4 because of Jake, not in spite of him. And this year he's done his best to put his QB in a position to fail rather than emphasize his strengths.

I want to believe, but you have nothing. Maybe Zod will offer some insight from sources closer than the Observer and Herald.

If you think we went 12-4 because of Jake, then either you didn't watch the Panthers last year or you know nothing about football.

Based off what? If the guy call the wrong plays, or at the wrong situation, or with the wrong gameplan then the running game can suffer.

Just because a team has alot of talent at the position doesnt mean the coordinator doesnt play a big or decent role in thier sucess.

A decent example is our D coordinator situation. Meeks came in with a talented group of players in this defence. The same players that trovagc had, yet he made this defence with all its talent better.

Davidson has done well working within the confines of a bad starting QB and a framework of ultra conservative play calling dictated by the head coach.

You guys are making a huge mistake in assuming Davidson has the option to change things up at halftime any way that he wants. Fox's nose is in to everything. He lays the groundwork, the big picture. The coordinators must work within that. This is why many quit this past offseason. They grew tired of him interfering and then they would catch the blame for poor performances.

But what Davidson does have some control over I like. The OL is the best it has been since 2003 under his guidance, not surprising for an ex lineman himself. The running backs look great, tight ends have developed nicely. Hard to judge the WR development, as Davidson has had Delhomme all season.

All in all, I'd say to really see what Davidson has done, you should first be able to recognize what is really holding the offense back (Delhomme and Fox). If you can't, then there is little we can discuss and agree on.

Apparently you missed the Saints game, the Chargers game, the Packers game and the Arizona game last year. Take those four games away and the Panthers are 8-8. So yeah, I do believe part of the reason they went 12-4 last year was because of Jake.

At some point yesterday Billick said that Davidson and Fox are of the same mind when it comes to playing that conservative football so many of us despise. I think he mentioned this one of the times we ran a draw on 3rd and medium or long.

He could have been talking out of his ass, but I'd hate to get rid of Fox only to have Fox 2.0.
