The one player we absolutely cannot lose this offseason.....

I recall the rumors swirling around Star, but I kinda understood...super west coast guy, then we went to the frozen North....that threw me off.

Didn't James go to college in Alabama though?  Just seem like a NYC kinda guy to me.

I never know how seriously to take some of this stuff.

It's kind of like how people say when they tell you it's not about the money, it's about the money.

There are zero reasons why Moton was not extended last off season.

Instead of extending Moton and James a year before they would have hit free agency, we instead spent that money on Shaq, Teddy, Anderson, and KK.

Dumb team.

You really can't think of a single reason?  That's a bit of a naive take.

Has he really been replaced.  There is a body there filling his role.  But the 3tech DT spot has still been a weakness on this D and only reason not listed as a hole/need this offseason.  Is becUse technically KK is still under contract.

I agree that the 3-tech  is a weakness on this team, one which KK can no longer fill. It's time to move from him or get him to take a pay cut.. If we could find a good/great player to plug in to that spot it would open things up for everyone on the D-line. Brown wouldn't see so many double teams if he had a pass rushing threat next to him on the line. Unfortunately, those guys aren't easy to find in college and are often too expensive to pay as veterans.

It seems (to me at least) that the 3 tech NT's tend to peak early and but experience sharper declines in comparison to DE's.  I can't think of any 4-3 DT's (with the exception of Aaron Donald or Fletcher Cox) who impact the game enough to justify the big salaries they command. It's way too easy to over pay at the position, although a having a solid player at that position is a necessity in today's pass happy NFL.

This time last year, people were reporting we were keeping Bradberry a priority.  Then we signed Shaq

I believe the signing of Shaq was in response to Luke’s sudden retirement. The front office had to know there was a strong possibility of this happening before it became public.

Agree with you on Bradberry. Would’ve rather signed him but it appears he wasn’t keen on sticking around.

So we overreacted when Luke retired?  Sounds about right

Whelp, he was right about the Cam situation, right?

Good Lord....WTF is wrong with us as a franchise?

I speculated that maybe he wants a shot to play left tackle, but that's pure speculation. There's nothing to say for certain.

Could be as simple as him wanting more money than he thinks we're going to pay, or maybe he just doesn't like it here and wants to go somewhere else.

No matter how you slice it, it sucks.
