If you draft a LT, paying your RT a lot isn’t a big deal. RTs command a lot of money now and if the LT is on a rookie deal at the same time it’s not a big deal. If we don’t do dumb things again we can be in good enough cap position to not squabble over a couple million a year. Not throwing away $27M on no return from Short, Weatherly, Apple and Roberts would have made it a no brainer. You just have to laugh sometimes at it.

Terrible cap talk. Okung didn’t save us money. It cost us $3.5M more this year and we could have dumped Turner at no cost instead of trading for Okung and saved $13.5M instead of paying for half a LT and saved $10M in 2021 with no Turner. If saving money was the key thing we should have just released Turner.

 Yes and he talks as though the dead money issue will be gone this year. But if you cut 3 if the least productive players with horrible cap numbers- Short, Paradis and Weatherley, you have $21 mill for those guys alone to add to the $10 mill existing. Easily making them one of the leaders in dead money yet again. I hope this guy Suleiman is better than his moronic predecessors.

Paradis gets way too much hate here for his 2019 year coming back from a bad injury. Dude has been more than solid this year.

He's done much better, but with his injuries, age and last years play, I don't think he's worth keeping him next year. We could save a lot of cap and I think this team should invest early on a center to grow with a QB. If we do indeed take one.

The crazy thing about this team is that we have needs just about everywhere. Paradis has been better this season than last as he's probably feeling better physically, but if we dump him it's yet another hole on a team that is swiss cheese. I prefer a bigger more powerful center, but our roster is a steaming pile of mediocrity, and we can't upgrade everything. I'm in favor of cutting ties with our worst starters, and our aged vets who are clearly falling apart physically, but I don't see Paradis as someone who can't just play out his contract. We need to turn our attention elsewhere for the time being. One more season with Paradis will allow us pour resources into some other position that is in much worse shape. 

On a side note, I actually hate how severe this rebuild has been. And to make matters worse Teddy is basically keeping us from having one of the top picks in this draft. We're in danger of beating Denver, a team that has the worst starting QB in the NFL, and Washington as well with their washed up dinosaur QB. With as bad as this roster is we should be looking at a top 3 pick, and our franchise QB in 2021. The thing is that Teddy is just really good at dink and dunk, and we hang around and win more than we should. We need to nose dive the rest of this season, but Teddy is easily better than Lock, and Denver's roster is almost as bad as ours.

I will reiterate what I keep trying to get people to realize, we cannot replace every person on that OL in one offseason. I cannot recall an example of a team that had to replace 3+ OL starters every season and had any success. 

We do have other positions we need to address too.

The most disheartening thing is that it sure doesn’t seem like they planned well for Moton, Samuel and Moore becoming FAs soon. Almost as if when the world saw us as the #4 team in our own division, let alone the entire NFC, we thought we could compete, SMH. We could have freed up $40M (or 3 years of Moton) easily and all we would have lost is 6 games of Okung. A little foresight and a reality check and we’d be walking into 2021/2022 as a FA player with already secured extensions timed perfectly with NO having to trim and Brees retiring and Brady retiring and the Falcons trimming and sucking.

Yeah, he’s not close to the best or an answer but in any of my thoughts I don’t think about cutting him.
