I responded to you referring to stats. I didn't refer to stats, and I don't because in football they're too subjective. Yes, even the ones you posted here.

Take for example the fact that his worst performances before now were against very good defenses. Yesterday, we weren't facing a good defense.

You don't think this matters?

He's also had great performances against top 16 defenses(Week 7 @NO, Week 9 @KC) and played poorly against bottom 16 defenses(Week 8 @ATL, Week 12 @MIN). That's the point, there isn't even a clear pattern. He's all over the map, which is not what you want from a game managing QB.

And if stats are subjective, opinions are 100% subjective.

Opinions are absolutely subjective.

But again, your primary source for performance evaluation is stats. Mine is what I see, so we're not likely to agree.

Bottom line though? I see him declining in recent weeks, and I've stated one of the reasons why I believe it's happening.

That was the whole argument. That people took that as making excuses for him or trying to say he was better than he was is pretty silly.

Incorrect. My primary source is my eyes and brain, my source to go to evaluate what I think I am seeing is statistics. This is the same thing that almost all football coaches do when they plan for an opponent. Watch and also crunch the data to gain an edge or to understand what the whole means.

I don't see him declining, nor does the data suggest that he is. But he also has 4 games remaining, so perhaps the performances on the field and the statistics will back that up in the end. Right now, neither of those two are clearly evident.

At what point in his career has he been fresh and not suffering from fatigue? Because he's basically been the same guy throughout.

He's always been the style of quarterback he is.

Earlier in this season, he was a better version of that style of quarterback, but still that style of quarterback.

Style and quality are not the same thing.

On this, we disagree.

I'd certainly like to hope that he has better performances left in him this season, but I'm sure as hell not expecting it.

Yep. Slye missed a tough kick that could've won it and the D choked in the end too, but if Teddy wasn't awful all game long none of that other stuff would've ever come into play.

Yep, that game should of been a blowout.

DJ was wide open and you blew it and now you're to point the finger everywhere else.

Honestly, Teddy shouldn't have a single defender left after that and Rhule should bench his ass. This is the polar opposite of what you want to see our of your QB both in terms of execution in the field and leadership off.

wtf? Teddy acts like he has room to talk like that. He just got one of his top receivers injured trying to catch one of his shitty throws. It was a good call and Teddy blew it. No one else.

I'm not real sure he's going to have a choice.

If the Panthers don't keep him as a starter, I doubt any other starting jobs are going to be available. He'd have to accept a backup role.

And it occurs to me that there is one that might be available in New Orleans depending on how their quarterback situation shakes out.

Ship him back to NO for a ham sandwich. I don't like this kind of bullshit attitude from him.

That's one of the potential downsides of talking up your career journeyman as a franchise QB. Teddy's comments after the game suggest that talk may have went to his head despite the team's record.

He’s fuging garbage and I imagine a lot of his teammates don’t respect him all that much. To say nothing of his pussy style of play and his woeful inaccuracy, he has the charisma of a TV table (and he folds easier than a TV table)
