Corn should not be on an NFL roster.  Rushing 3 late also didn't help, especially when we had no timeouts left and Burns and Co. were completely gassed.  It was horrible.

Corn has been getting rave reviews about is improvements. I think the problem is more with the 3-3-5 stuff not being effective in the NFL. To much time for a half way decent qb to find a open man. Corners and zones can only hold up for so long.

He's been better this year, but he's still bad.  He has looked better attacking the short area near the LOS, but in coverage he gets exposed way more often than he holds up.  Chad Beebe literally caught his first NFL TD on him.

Elder's actually been pretty good this year. He's been talked about more than once as the most improved player on the roster.

Did he have a letdown yesterday though? Yeah, and at a bad time.

That's could probably be said of the whole defense.

When the D scores more points than the O, that is not a letdown. The D played more than well enough for us to win if the offense could have done anything.

When the D gives up a long touchdown drive in just over a minute, that's a letdown.

I suppose, however the D should have never been in that position after they spotted the O an 11 point lead. The Offense then contributed a blocked FG, two made FG's, and another miss to end the game. On top of the special teams handing them the ball again on a 1st and goal. The D did not lose this game.

Maybe you guys should stop trashing our D, which has overachieved, and go start threads about our trash Offense that scored 13 points against one of the worst scoring D's in the league.

They had given up another scoring drive in the opening quarter and a drive that led to a field goal after the blocked punt.

You can never put it all on one unit. The defense definitely contributed to the loss.

Well we will agree to disagree, the D IMO did not lose this game and put us in a position to win this game handily. The O could not hold up their end of the bargain.

Had they stopped either of those other drives, we still win.

Teams win. Teams lose.

Elder was far from the only secondary member that got picked on. They all got roasted from time to time in that game.

And to be fair, a good number of them probably eouldn't be starting or even playing had our season not gone the way it has.
