With his next passing touchdown Teddy will have a new career high of 15 in a single season

He’s averaging a whopping 1 touchdown roughly every 26 throws and has only had two games this year under 26 throws. For comparison, Gardner Minshew got hurt and was benched for “performance issues” and he sits at 13 passing touchdowns but have played only 7 games. Both Bears QBs have been benched for performance issues and they have a combined 19 touchdown passes. Carson Wentz is about to be benched for a second round rookie and he has no weapons to throw to and he also made it to 14 touchdown passes.

When Teddy breaks that glass ceiling of 15 touchdowns in his next start, and we pause the game to set off fireworks and congratulate him on this momentous occasion we will think to ourselves how this is money well spent. We found our guy. This is elite.

And Cam has 4 touchdowns on the year? I don’t think anyone would be happy with whatever option we went with this year at QB. We weren’t going to win many games no matter what anyone said. It’s a brand new coaching staff from College, we had no offseason, we had more turnover than any team in the league and it’s not even close, we have the youngest defense in a decade, the list goes on and on. When you don’t win games, fans become frustrated and complain. Cam at QB would result in a bad season, Teddy at QB is a bad season, Allen at QB would be a bad season, Tom Brady on our team would still be a bad season with bad stats.

Yeah, but your fanbase would feel a whole hell of a lot better if we were going through this with our franchise QB instead of some journeyman who couldn't beat out Sam Darnold.  Oh, and to add insult to injury, we gave him $60million dollars to be this terrible.  And, we have had to hear how good of a leader he is and how hard he fought to get back and blah, blah, blah.  Cam plays like shite this year here and we get it.  He is done, but also, his contract is too! He plays well, well hot damn your franchise QB is healthy and you see what happens.  Either way, his contract is up.  Now we owe Teddy 40million guaranteed for this debacle.  Miss me with that new offense.  I thought the reason we brought in Teddy was because he was so familiar.  Again, going through this season sucks, but it would be an easier pill to swallow if Hurney and Tepper didn't make all of these moves to be garbage.

I am a Cam fan but people act like he was willing to play on a last year deal, that the coaching staff felt like he fit our offense etc. Cam’s style of play is definitely not what our offense is now. I know Teddy B is not a long time starter but his contract gives us an out after next season and if we draft a QB this offseason it’s not going to hurt us to have some like Teddy teach him the system and be a mentor. His contract is the lowest vet QB salary in the league it will by no means cripple this team in the future. Matt Rhule and Brady wanted Teddy over Cam, make no mistake about that. Hurney is on record as wanting to extend Cam.

Man I thought on the Huddle, we debunked that two years, five years nonsense.  That is what Facebook Panther fans were arguing over.  Cam most definitely would have played his last year.  This was Rhule and Brady being scared of a big personality.  Hence, Rhule telling everybody he wanted to coach Cam to them hurriedly ushering him out the back door, to signing Teddy, and to now hear on every broadcast that they wanted Teddy all along.  At least I can take solace in Tepper saying anyone who expects us to win anytime soon is mistaken.

I didn’t write anything about Cam and I’m not a Cam defender. Teddy has proven that he isnt it for us.

I agree on Teddy. The Cam statement wasn’t really directed towards you and I should have been more clear on that but my point was that no matter who we had at QB this with with our available options I would have turned out bad. I understood at the time why they went with Teddy B but now after a full season it is obvious that we must draft a QB this offseason no question.

Completely agree my friend.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
