Seriously, it's time to give Walker an honest look

The backup quarterback is always the most popular guy on the roster.

If he gets a chance to play and looks like garbage, what's next? Grier?

What’s next is a better pick. PJ is getting paid the minimum, that’s a nice placeholder for 2021 if we aren’t able to get our QB this year.

I will say this. Today Teddy got the protection that Came would have killed for most of his career and it didn't matter. Poor decisions was the reason.

Some of the decisions were fine, the execution was just poor. He missed DJ wide open in the endzone twice. Those weren't poor decisions.

Yes, Grier!  Heck, he may throw four interceptions and not be very accurate, but he'll throw the ball farther then 10 yards to attempt a completion.

Teddy is a Trent Dilfer, he can manage  the offense to be a little productive but he doesn't have the caliber of team around him to be a difference maker!

What would be the harm? We're playing with house money. The season is toast.

Well if you guys are really looking to tank, by all means...

It gives a chance to find out if PJ is a viable backup. Teddy would be a good backup but is too expensive.

If I was really looking to tank, I'd be advocating playing Bridgewater. That's been a proven tanking mechanism thus far.

See:

I was begging for us to be aggressive with Teddy. One, to give him another opportunity to see what he could do in a pressure situation with the game on the line. Two, because I knew how it would turn out.

Oddly enough, the offense around Bridgewater - OL included - is what we should have done around Cam. Mind boggling. Typical Panthers put together a Cam offense when Cam is gone.

to be fair you repeatedly called kyle allen a good quarterback. your doubts aren’t worth much.

Actually, I spent weeks arguing with Roaring Riot that I wasn't convinced yet.

I finally agreed that he was good enough to play in the NFL, but not that he was a long term starter.

Mind you, there were a fair number of professional analysts who said he was, but that didn't end well.
