I hope Joe Brady gets a head coaching job so this team won’t have a reason to keep Bridgewater anymore

I have really been impressed with Brady’s system. I just think that Bridgewater’s lack of arm talent and limited mobility have been extremely limiting factors. I would have loved to have seen Herbert grow and blossom in this system. Sadly, we missed that opportunity by one draft choice. I just hope history does not repeat itself this off-season.

Herbert surprised me. Didn’t think he’d be that good this fast. Wish we got him too but there is a lot of talent at QB in the draft next season. Wouldn’t mind seeing the Panthers get an underachieving guy like Trubisky or Darnold, a top 10 draft pick at QB, and PJ Walker all fight it out for the starting job in training camp.

I would stay away from Trubisky. I think he has the same limitations as Bridgewater. I am honestly SHOCKED that he was the first QB drafted the year he came out. Sam Darnold is much more intriguing. However, I suspect, if healthy, there will be a bigger market for him, which means greater draft compensation will be needed. Absent a trade-up (and maybe with a trade-up) the Panthers would likely only be in a position to take the third QB off the board in the upcoming draft.

I don’t like Trubisky much either but I think given a better situation maybe he could develop into a decent starter. But like I said, hopefully just camp competition for a rookie.

Both have flashed and both have failed. Neither have lived up to the hype. Then again the bar shouldn't have been high this year.

Teddy doesn't call the plays or manage the clock.

I don't think Teddy has flashed at all. He looks like the exact same player he always has - conservative and unable to really happen to the game, instead being reactive and taking only what is given.

Brady has been good, not perfect but infinitely better than we’ve had in a long time I’d not ever. Rhule has been great, infinitely better than we’ve had in a long time. Snow has been up and down. Now that he remembered we can blitz in the NFL we’re doing better, and he’s working with a LOT of first and second year guys. Teddy needs to go. Tonight.

Brady is extremely overrated on here.

Brady's cracks in the veneer started to show as the season has went on too.  Other coaches have film and pick up on tendencies, just like they do with players.  That being said, even despite some sketchy calls here and there, he put us in a position to win today and Teddy blew it...  and it feels like its kind of been them taking turns doing that all year.  I've seen enough that makes me hopeful for Brady's continued development as OC, but I worry about what we've backed ourselves into with their very public love affair and commitment to Teddy from the outset.  It makes it all that more difficult for Brady and Rhule to move on from him.

Stay the hell away from Trubisky. Dude is literally The Golden Calf of Bristol 2.0. Darnold I wouldn't mind trying out. Could be another Ryan Tannheill situation. PJ Walker needs to get his last month audition so we can see if there's any potential or not.

I agree. I haven’t seen him do anything monumentally better than what Norv and Scott Turner did with the offense in 2018-2019. The Offense still routinely snaps the ball with 0:00 on the play clock, the offense gets the most yards by dumping the ball off to the RB when the QB fails to read the defense or hit the open receivers. The only thing I give Brady credit for is being able to finally utilize Curtis Samuel.

Any competent coaching staff would realize Bridgewater’s limitations are the main reason the team is losing close games. He should be on the bench or better yet, looking for a new team to play for. But the team still stubbornly plays him because of what I’m assuming is loyalty from Joe Brady.

In the end, it probably doesn’t matter who the coaches are or who the players are. The Panthers are a hard, and depressing team to be a fan of. Some teams are just bad and miserable and that’s who they are. The Panthers are the ultimate cock tease of a team. Good enough to give you hope, suck you in, hype you up, and then they literally bite your dick off. I hate being a fan of the Panthers more times than not and that is so sad.

Well, in fairness, Could be worse...Jets..jags...lions come to mind

The Saints competent staff did know what Bridgewater is and that’s why he isn’t there

one poster in here who I respect said ‘they didn’t sign Teddy because of money ‘

lol

tbe Saints who always seem to find money for players they want, couldn’t find money for Brees’ supposed heir apparent...really.....ok then

teddy will be just mediocre enough to hold  onto his job....66% of $63 million, wow
