But every sign points to Dak being their future, from everyone in the organization. They will cut Tyron Smith an some others and make room correct? I Don't see anyone picking this right now, but I don't doubt you for a second. What do you think?

Ive seen talk of cutting Smith, praying for Sewell, and trading Cooper to make Dak work in the Cowboys office.

Broncos are mediocre, but Washington's defense is elite and they have one of the best defensive lines in the league. Alex Smith is also playing better.

Saints will probably beat us. I think it is premature to assume that Payton will bench his players even if they have the 1st seed. Payton is the type of coach to play Taysom Hill and sit Brees even if his is healthy just to show this rookie coach he is the king of the NFC South and can beat us with Hill. I know I would do that.

Hill may still be playing at that point anyway. The interesting thing that we are about to find out about Payton is how severe his hubris is. Three of their next four games they are just not going to be able to simply line up and beat them with a shittier version of The Golden Calf of Bristol. Atlanta, Kansas City and Minnesota all have potent offenses that they will have to be able to score with. I suspect if Hill is starting Sunday, you see Winston come in the game to try and salvage an absolute shelling that the Falcons start giving them.

Kyle Trask is your QB sleeper, 34tds only 3ints. 6'5" 239lbs. Absolutely the 3rd best QB prospect. He will move up the boards the closer we get to draft day. Nice arm, big body, accurate.

6'3" QBs scare the heck out of me

No. I think he'll be solid, but he's not a future Franchise QB by any means.

Payton has already benched his starters against us in the past. Washington has no offense, and you know when can score against any team. Teddy will throw dink and dunk to keep the d-line away. Let's say we beat Denver and lose to Washington, and we beat the Saints second string, 6-10.

The Saints may not be able to sit players against us. If they lose to us and they and GB lose the same amount of games before the last week (NO plays KC and GB plays Tennessee), GB gets the 1 seed and the bye. GB beat NO so they have the tiebreaker. GB also has the easier schedule left as I’d rather play Tennessee than KC. Heck, this week at Atlanta isn’t a gimme. Atlanta is bipolar this year but without Brees and at home, you never know. Anyway, it would shock me if NO has a two game lead on GB going into the last week. If they are tied or GB is one back like they are now, NO has to beat us otherwise they lose a huge advantage.

Then we better be all over Dak

It would suck having to pay him all that money coming off a major injury, but this offense would be filthy with Dak. I can only imagine. Draft LT and interior line first 2 picks, then defense the rest of the way again.

7th in points and 4th in yards Washington is a really good defense period. I hope you are wrong. Nothing else to play for except draft picks. 4-12. I hope we lose every remaining game.

I want to lose out in the worst way. 4-12 would be fantastic. We could take a QB or trade down for more picks.

The nice thing about the Chargers is they're unlikely to pick a QB.  Same with CIN.  So we've got a decent shot at one of the top 3 now.

edit: Minshew seems to be playing really well - anyone watch any of his games?  JAX going to move on from him?  Almost looks like tehy'd be better off keeping him.

While those teams are unlikely to pick a qb, other teams are likely to try and trade up with them to pick a qb.  So, we are not In as good a position as you think for one of the top 3 qb’s.

Yep.  The draft is basically starting at pick 2 with Sewell & Justin Fields on the board, but what happens if it's Cinci?  Do they just stay put and grab Sewell or do we look to negotiate if we're not too far back?

I think it's realistic we lose all remaining minus maybe Denver.  That puts us in sound range at pick ~6.  Getting Fields would be insane, absolutely splendid.
