SF winning helps. Our SOS really kills us and has knocked us back before.

Sucks that 1-3, the guys we are least likely to jump have a worse SOS (for tiebreakers) and 4,5 and 7-10 have better SOS which means we have to jump 4-5 by 2 wins and need 7-10 (all with 4 wins as well) to win 1 more than us or we drop.

Good scheduling:

Philly (7 now, could be ahead of us tomorrow) plays Washington and Dallas

Washington also plays us so that’s a huge game and SF

Dallas also plays Cincy, SF and the Giants

Atlanta also plays LAC

LAC also plays Denver and the Pats

Minnesota also plays Jax and Detroit

Houston also plays Cincy

To sunmarize, 1/2 we cannot jump. Detroit IMHO doesn’t have any gimmees and will likely jump us. If I were to guess, from 3-5, only Dallas could win 2 just because they play the most bad teams. Even if we go winless, I’d be shocked if we move up much at all. I think we are truly 7th already because Detroit will lose out and win the tiebreaker. It’s probably best that Dallas doesn’t win twice otherwise another 4 win team loses out and jumps us.

I think 6 or 7 is our best for 4-12. That sucks but I think Cincy, Jax and Jets are ahead of us regardless. Likely 2 of 3 Dallas, LAC and Detroit stay in front of us.

In one of the best QB drafts in years, it sucks to think that 4-12 might only get us pick 7. So many shitty teams this year.

The notion that Dallas wouldn’t consider a QB is wrong.  They could absolutely move on from Dak.

I feel like Dak will stay w Dallas. They need a corner, edge or LT so bad and every sign from Stephen and Jerry say he will be back, oh... and McCarthy ( if that means anything ). I hope this is all true, but its what I'm seeing and hearing! Thanks!

Why do people think we'll be playing the Saints first string?

Denver and Wash are both terrible and I see them as 50/50 games.

I think we win 2 more games. 6-10.

Something that hit me today was the fact that we scouted Herbert hard and that he would have been the pick if there.

It shows that maybe we can scout a QB that can be a franchise player not at pick 1. Most people thought he would suck being an Oregon product.

Broncos are mediocre, but Washington's defense is elite and they have one of the best defensive lines in the league. Alex Smith is also playing better.

Saints will probably beat us. I think it is premature to assume that Payton will bench his players even if they have the 1st seed. Payton is the type of coach to play Taysom Hill and sit Brees even if his is healthy just to show this rookie coach he is the king of the NFC South and can beat us with Hill. I know I would do that.

I'm fine with not winning another game. I want high draft picks. Too many times we won meaningless games that killed our draft or were good enough to win 7 and draft around 15th. No thanks. I want a top 5 pick.

As far as Dallas, there is no way now they keep Dak. The cap is going to fall to 175 million and with the stupid signings of Zeke, Cooper and Smith, they have no cap space to sign him to even a franchise tag. He will get a transitional tag slapped on him and they will draft a QB with their first pick. We need to draft ahead of them.

But every sign points to Dak being their future, from everyone in the organization. They will cut Tyron Smith an some others and make room correct? I Don't see anyone picking this right now, but I don't doubt you for a second. What do you think?

Kyle Trask is your QB sleeper, 34tds only 3ints. 6'5" 239lbs. Absolutely the 3rd best QB prospect. He will move up the boards the closer we get to draft day. Nice arm, big body, accurate.
