What a hard team to root....

I know y’all know how I feel as longtime Panthers fans. The team does just enough to give you hope and suck you in, and crush your dreams like a crowbar to the skull. I have seen this story too many times and I’m sick of it. I really don’t know how much more of it I can take.

I expected us to be dog poo this season.  I like what I've seen from the new staff, and I think were on the up.

The loss today hurt, but I can't say its been boring or hard to watch.

Not gonna lie was fully expecting 2010 levels of suck and maybe even 2001 levels, have been pleasantly surprised. Even with the rollercoaster of emotions and the mistakes lots of optimism for the future and way earlier than I wouldve guessed.

Said it in the other thread, but this really feels like the hardest Panthers team for me to watch, ever.  Even worse than the 2001 team...  and it all starts with Teddy and this staff's insistence that he's their guy.

Whenever we get to the point of being happy that were not getting blown out, you start to feel a whole lot like the fan bases in NY and Ohio.

But I think Rhule is a good signing. Expectations need to be tempered this year. Next year we will know alot more. Let's see if he can make adjustments. Phil snow has been a let down. Teddy was a bad signing. But other than that I'm willing to let go as growing pains. Like game management, and play calling. So many games where if the right QB was in we win. So that's a hard pill to swallow, but on that I could as long as they make a change. 

If they come back next year without a promising Rookie on the roster to take his place when he shits the bed again next year I'll be done.

That is rough, Teddy hasn't earned the hate I have for Weinke. I dont think we could get someone at that level again. I think we got used to real good d, and the lack of has been the hardest pill to swallow recently.

Yeah, but even though this defense sucks, they have come up consistently when it mattered and gave the offense the chance to win or tie the game, almost every game, and Teddy and Brady are the ones that blow it.

Weiner was what he was, but we weren't tied to him.  Nor did we have a coaching staff telling us he was the franchise QB or QB of the future, but we are financially tied to Teddy for at least 2 years and this staff is adamant about him being the guy despite everything we're seeing.  And again, considering his clutch moment performances this season, that is an equally rough pill to swallow.

We literally just played against a team that was actively trying to lose and we still lost. I can’t get over this one. Why does this team deserve anyone to root for them? I hate this squad. Bunch of losers. A lot needs to change.

You're proving exactly what the issue is. They just keep trotting him out there thinking he's not going to disappoint. And then, he disappoints.

It's still the first year for what's basically a college coaching staff working with a GM who should have been fired years ago.

I'm still hopeful for the staff, at least.
