Said this on some other threads here but my opinion .... I thought the throw was catchable but DJ got hurt before he launched and didn't get the extension. Watch his right foot/leg on that play.

But agree with you globally, Teddy isn't going to win clutch games and has his limits for sure.

The ball was a mile behind him.

Watched it again and ...mea culpa it was. Not defending Teddy he was terrible just trying to be objective as the coaching was ass today as was 2/3 of our secondary.

Good news is ATL won so we move up in the QB sweepstakes

LOL......And Ian Thomas still couldn’t catch it. Has Ian Thomas made a catch this season? Just asking?

Thomas has been very disappointing this year but he had a guy draped all over him. It was idiotic to throw that ball. It was all risk and no reward. Teddy would've been better off taking a sack and keeping the clock running rather than throw a pass that was going to be a contested catch that had no chance of getting a 1st down or improving the field position battle and risked being potentially intercepted.

It is hard to say if the current regime has no faith in his skills or if they don't see the value in a TE. Manhertz has been better by default and that us bc he can block.

I knew what your point was, I guess I’m just saying Thomas couldn’t even catch it to boot. We need to just burn this tape, or bring it back out the next time we play the Vikings. It was an all around terrible showing today.

All I know is that Thomas looked a helluva lot better as a rookie than he's ever looked since. He looked very promising as a rookie and he seems to have regressed every year since.

Agreed, baffling.

Then again he played last yr under a lame duck and now under a new regime. Bad situation for the kid.

I mean, for the first few games of the year we were all cheering about how much better Matt Rhule was doing at managing the clock than Ron Rivera.

You wouldn't think somebody would get worse with more experience, but somehow...

It wasn't Rhule. It was Brady's play calls.
