He rushed the two throws before the punt before the 2 minute warning stopping the clock as well, which ended up being horrible decisions.  Then the inaccurate throw to DJ not only stopped the clock again without a score, but also injured him.  And then if we want to go back to the first half, the INT was because he was forced to throw on 3rd and long inside the red zone bc he audibled to a run on 2nd and 14 the play before and gained nothing.  Between his conservative approach and propensity to become wildly inaccurate when it counts, he just hamstrings us as an offense.

I really feel like we need a gunslinger type with CMC and these receivers.  Improvisational skills are needed this day and age and TB doesn't possess them, like at all.

From what I see we're trying to build, there are a few critical qualities needed for the offense:

A quick release, mobile enough, gunslinger mentality.

This team could be in a very very good spot if we just do what we need to do to land Wilson or Fields.

If our offense did anything more than what they did today we win no issues. They are definite holes on defense but we’ve had worse and still won games. Pretending Teddy costing the team 3 TDs doesn’t affect the outcome is hilarious, the team lost by 1 point not 44.

On the contrary - people not expecting TB to be some miracle QB making us competitive, defying history telling us it’s not possible with this ranked defense, are the ones who accept all this affects the outcome. But given the teams status it really doesn’t affect the bigger picture.

The ones who are butthurt knee jerking are the ones with unrealistic expectations. And it appears quite a few of you believed TB was the next franchise QB for some reason.

If the coaches keep coddling him when he clearly is the reason why this team isn't in the playoff hunt, they are going to lose the team. Nice guy. He sucks. Move on.

This team isn't in the playoff hunt because we're not very talented.

Impossible to alienate fans of the team by cutting a player. Disappointed maybe but it wasn’t an intentional move to ‘alienate’ fans.

the way the team treated cam absolutely alienated fans. what the fug do you mean “it’s impossible” lol

The only cast Cam has that is statistically worse than TB including defense, special teams, division and schedule toughness, and coaching is offensive threats.

don’t talk to me about “schedule toughness” when teddy just got owned by the fuging minnesota vikings. panthers have top tier skill position talent and the patriots have arguably the worst set of receivers in the league. cam would be a lot better off in carolina.

No one had time to build chemistry during the pandemic unless you mean via video. Including our own head coach.

you don’t lose chemistry season to season when you remain on the same team, dummy. he had spent his entire career here and was more familiar with moore, samuel and mccaffrey than anyone on the patriots (outside of his “#1 receiver” damiere byrd lmao)

It is what it is, let the rebuild happen and stop kidding yourself NFL franchises get turned around overnight.

agreed so let’s cut the dead weight. starting with teddy bridgewater and his huge (for his ability) contract.

Disagree completely.

We're running a West Coast attack. The ideal quarterback for this kind of offense is a game manager type.

We just need one that's a better starter than Bridgewater.

Are you seriously trying to imply signing Bridgewater who can’t be cut without major dead cap until after next year, doesn’t affect the team at all? Throw in even if we cut him after next year we’ll still have dead cap space due to him.

you can try and spin it literally anyway you want but you are wrong that Bridgewater doesn’t affect the team and plans moving forward, such a silly argument you’re trying to make that has no merit

Add in most didn’t think Bridgewater was a franchise QB, most questioned why we would spend the money we did for him which you are trying to say has no affect on the team, you Bridgewater guys are hilarious

Its not that. Its the idea that some GM is going to be fooled by late game checkdowns instead of watching film.

Okay sorry I wasn't clear:

I was just laying it on, Bridgewater actually plays all four Qtrs, and will absolutely command a solid trade market from QB desperate franchises
