Teddy's more consistent and predictable (for better or worse) for sure but yeah, agreed that a more dynamic QB is more entertaining on top of any on-the-field benefits.

I don't really give a damn about exciting. I care about winning.

Fans love big arms and long passes, but those don't win you games unless they're consistent.

Today wasn't "it" either.

I'm fine with giving Walker a chance if Bridgewater can't go, but he's not better than Bridgewater and he's not gonna start if Bridgewater is healthy (nor should he).

Teddy has started like 30 games. This guy has started 1. If you can't understand upside, then you are missing the point.

I'd say you probably overestimate just how much "upside" Walker has shown at this point.

But either way, you don't choose starters by who has the most upside. You choose them according to who's the most prepared to win right now.

That's not Walker.

You do when your team sucks with their 20 mill QB. Let's see what a half mill QB has!

    • Yeah I know, it would have to be like a first next year, a first in 2027, 2nd in 2026 and maybe a 4rth or something this year.  21 to 8 is a long way to move.  Maybe this is true I dont know, its lying season.   https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/steelers/2025/04/02/2025-nfl-draft-espn-analyst-touts-shedeur-sanders-to-the-steelers/82779647007/   According to ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller, Sanders should want to play for the Steelers and him making it that far would be a good thing for him and for Pittsburgh. Miller points to the Steelers run game and offensive line as reasons Sanders should want to play in Pittsburgh. Those are both fairly arguable points but the run game is going to need a serious overhaul after Najee Harris left in free agency. He also notes that Sanders is a good fit with head coach Mike Tomlin. If the Steelers do decide to target Sanders, they would almost certainly have to trade up ahead of the New Orleans Saints at a minimum. If the Steelers think he's the answer, it would be an expensive move to go up and get him.   For you guys keeping score at home, Saints are at 9, your carolina panthers 8.   Probably not feasible for either team but there is certainly a way to thread the needle and making it happen.  But it would have to be a poo load of capital and maybe a player or 2.    Maybe minka?
