So do we cut Teddy Bridgewater at this point?

Its totally relevant, this defense hasnt been able to stop a team from scoring on almost every drive this season unless there was a freak turnover.  How many times did Teddy go up in the 4th quarter just to have the defense give the other team a touchdown.

I could be wrong, but off the top of my head, we rarely have led in the 4th - as you said, because of the horrible defense - but, the defense, more often than the scenario you present, finally stopped them and gave Teddy a chance to win or tie, and he made a bad decision that ended the drive.  So, it's hard to put that on the defense even though they suck, because they still put him in a position to winer tie in regulation.  Most games come down to a single score.  That scenario happened 5 times this year and Teddy failed each time.  But, yes, with how the defense played today, it helps, and he likely would have won easily as well.

It's the Kyle Allen thing.  QB's a lot of times perform fairly well on their first start when people don't have tape on them.   Last year it was the same thing.  After 3 games they were talking about long term deals for Kyle Allen.  However after a few weeks everyone goes.. oh... that's why he was an undrafted free agent.   Teddy has put up far better peformances and if our Defense played half as good we would have won more games.  As the announcer said, we are/were historically bad at 3rd downs.  Historically the worse coming into the game since 1972.

However people here tend to fixate on the last play.  So a lot of the blame falls on the QB, which is what happens.   If our Defense can maintain even a semblance of todays play we won't have to have a game winning drive with 1:45 left on the clock every week.  Then Teddy won't get the blame after us scoring 30 points.

Kyle Allen played well this season.  He is a magnet for dirty hits apparently.   Last season decline was due to entire team sucking as he is a game manager, he felt the need to take more risks.

Ya at least 34 to account for the two interceptions. Probably more. I don't get how people are even comparing PJ to Teddy outside of the arm strength. Teddy is way more cerebral and way more accurate and its pretty clear a lot people blamed on teddy with things like 2 minute drill are on Brady as PJ was having the same issues.

I’ve been not blaming Brady. Red zone interceptions are on the QB. I don’t care if it’s PJ or Teddy

If the defense played the way they did in our losses the way they did today, the panthers would be close to undefeated.  PJ throws a better ball, but two ints in the red zone won't cut it.  Thats not even backup worthy.  Luckily the lions were inept on offense.

The Colts put up 30-something points.

I read Tua's ankle got rolled

He did but the offense just wasn’t moving. Happens for young QBs at times. They are in the playoff hunt so they can’t afford losses in tight games. Tua was already announced as the starter for next week.
