He shouldn't have thrown either, but I maintain the playcalling was worse.

I assumed we were just going to run the clock out and kick a FG, but to run it on 1st, and 2nd and long,, then a run a pass with only 2 guys running a route on 3rd is just dumb.

And the first pick...  bunch formations the left with all 3 guys running routes to the same side?  I just don't get it.

That first play had a wide open Robby Anderson just beyond the goal line. Walker was even looking in that direction.

Can't really complain about the play when there's a wide open guy available and the quarterback just makes an inexplicable decision.

Eh let's not be too hasty. These are the same coaches that the past 5-6. This lions team is not good. So at least we have a baseline of what we can win against...

If the Panthers were in the NFC East, they would walk to the division title this year. We can win against that.

I'm not a Bridgewater fanboy, but that was awful.

To be perfectly honest though, his first end zone interception was even worse.

Nah, didn't mean you. But we don't know if he was on the wrong page or Moore was. Since it's his first start, he gets a little leeway for mistakes

I never realized the hate was so strong for TB, Walker vs the lions would mean claiming him to start lol

it reminds me when people wanted Anderson/Grier to start over cam

If you wanna tank fine but TB undoubtably gives us the best chance to win and it isn’t close

A shutout will be a confidence boost for the defense and could bode well for next year.

For those of you talking about how bad the Lions are, in order to become a winning team, you have to first start out by beating the bad teams, hopefully in a convincing fashion.

Actually seeing some different looks from snow this game too. But still get that feeling if we were playing a decent OL and a not injured Stafford he'd be eating this D up.

Yeah, the Taysom Hill hate didn't fair so well today.

With that said, the Falcons defense isn't anything special either so we'll need to see how he does against a better unit.

A lot of help from the refs too. But Hill is doing better than I think a lot wanted.

Because Teddy has never missed a wide open DJ Moore. Right.  Or ever thrown an interception in the end zone

I expect these types of things to happen with a non starter

I don’t expect them to happen with a starter

Yeah, I'll have to go back and look at it, but no denying it was a bad decision...  I just question how good of a call it was for PJ considering his limited on-field action up until this week.

As I said, he has looked fantastic between the 10s.  We all know the windows get significantly smaller down by the goalline...  I imagine for an inexperienced guy, its a lot easier to lock on to one target, and he definitely seems to have an affinity for DJ - which again, between the 10s has been great, but down in goal to go has not been.

Valid, though it's also true that saying the Lions look like dog sh-t is an insult to dog sh-t.

Kinda balances out.
