I strongly disagree with most of that heh. Yea LT is a need but not immediately. Daley looked ok there, Okung isn’t dead.  We could use a TE, don’t need one. Brady doesn’t seem to value them. WR is the least of our needs, we just need to keep what we have. We don’t need RT at all, Moton is good. We don’t need DTs, we have two or three good ones, just need depth. We could use another DE, but don’t need one. Burns is a star, YGM is looking good, Obada is good depth. We do need LBs at all three spots but if we get a good MLB, it will benefit them all. Shaq isn’t going anywhere anytime soon even though he kinda sucks. He’ll be serviceable with a good MLB beside him.  We could use a Safety to upgrade from Boston, but not a need. With our young guys getting better and a MLB to have better control over the middle of the field, our Safeties can stick to their jobs better.  Another CB is important, but we have a lotta youth and some are looking solid, just need depth guys really, or someone to replace Jackson if his foot keeps being a problem.  We don’t have that many needs.  Most of the needs you listed are “could use an upgrade”, but no team has great players at every position. Our jags are fine in most of those spots, just like other successful teams.

Jesus that is one rosy take on our roster.  That's basically best case scenario at every position and even then we are 2 drafts away.

San Diego is not winning games with Herbert.  Also next year we will take another lump as we have too many holes to fill.   The thought of the offensive line next year is lol funny.   Samuel is all but gone IMO and Person said its going to take 15mil per to get Moton.  I dont think the team wants to re-up that much on him.  It could be a long year next season as well.

San Diego has a legitimate dearth of talent.  They have one ok RB, but I’d take Davis over him. They have one great WR and not much else. And that WR is often injured.  The other WRs are ok at best. Their line is also as bad or worse than ours.

I don’t know why people think Samuel and Moton are gone. Maybe they leave, maybe they don’t. Moton needs to be kept, Samuel would be great to keep but we still have two studs without him. That’s more than most teams.

San Diego has Herbert and they stink. I don't think a rookie QB is going to instantly change our fortunes, even one like Herbert. We are still an extremely weak team in terms of overall roster talent. It's going to take a lot of work to make us a good team in just two offseasons. I say that knowing how close we are to being a team with a winning record.

Our biggest weakness on the team(and has been for many years) is LT. Reference how much better our OL looked when Okung was playing(the first competent LT we have fielded since Jordan Gross). Aside from that, yes our interior OL needs rebuilding. We need a TE, we could need a WR, we may need a RT, we need backup OL, we need DT's, we need DE's, we need LB's(all), we need safeties, we need CB's.

We are a team with a lot of needs.

We've been competitive in every game except one. I absolutely think we'd be significantly better off with a more talented QB. That wouldn't fix our defensive issues or our OL inadequacies but better talent at QB would better allow us to mitigate those glaring weaknesses.

I just listened to a podcast and the dudes broke down Trask a bit.  Said he was probably a second rounder.  Has lack of experience, not mobile and benefits a ton from Pitts.    The also love TL, Fields and go into depth about Wilson.  I cannot believe how fast that kid is moving up.

They seem to think he'd likely be there for us in the 2nd. Could be interesting, especially with Teddy on the docket to start in this situation.

Okung may not play again at all. Even if he does, he is on the last year of his deal. It is going to be hard to justify resigning an older vet that has an extensive injury history and only played 2-6 games for us.

Daley is not the answer. He's a great backup option be he's been outplayed by Scott largely. LT is the most direct need on our team, and has remained that way for many years. It has led to a dramatically shorten career for the only franchise QB we have ever had and will continue to be an issue until it is addressed.

TE may not be a need but we could still use an upgrade.

WR may be a need if Samuel leaves(he is a FA).

We may need a RT if Moton leaves(he is a FA).

We need DE's because our rotational DE's(Weatherly, Haynes, etc) are not very productive. Obada is not being used as a DE but largely inside in their speed package. He is a situational/rotational guy.

LB is a dire need. Whitehead has been an unmitigated disaster. We are married to Shaq, unfortunately.

Safety is a dire need, outside flashes from Burris(rare) and Franklin they have been dreadful.

CB could be a need depending on Jackson. I am comfortable with Douglas and Elder but Jackson is steady and injury prone. Probably will need to bolster depth here because Pride has been really bad. He may need some time to develop, if he does at all.

Top to bottom this is a horrifying roster in terms of talent. I am not seeing what you are.

Its one thing to be optimistic but his post is a bit to much homerism.  This roster is in need of a huge talent influx and we are getting even shallower after this year on oline.  Its a hurney classic

Here is The Draft Network's write up on him post-2019 season, @Jeremy Igo. I believe he has made some corrections to his mechanics, although admittedly I have not watched much UF other than highlights this season.

The never having started in HS is an interesting factoid. That also means you are going to be getting a guy that is extremely, extremely raw in his development.

How do you never start a game in high school and end up a starter at a program like Florida?

You don't believe in Greg Little?

I mean....maybe he was at one of those giant schools that is loaded with elite talent? Florida also takes developmental 2-3 star guys too.

He sat behind D'Eriq King while in High School. He currently plays for Miami but was heavily recruited to Houston out of HS. Due to being a dual threat QB, Trask never got to see the field much. He went to a few camps and there were Gator coaches who were impressed enough with him that they offered him a scholarship. The rest is history.

Joe Burrow has 12 TD 5 INT - 89.8 Rating in 9 games

Pedestrian, and has weapons aplenty, Green, Boyd, Higgins ..

Trask will be bad in NFL .. not many Top QB prospects ever end up that good .. we had a QB that actually lived up to being selected first overall and we ran him out of town.

that's pretty amazing for a rookie.    the pedestrian comment is ridiculous.    you could be a patriots fan if you want to
