The issue was despite having outstanding MLBs on our teams for years we were never consistent in the grand scheme of things. Top 5 defense one year, 15th next. Top 5 another year, 18th next or so. We had Luke on defense last season and we were historically bad. We have nothing at MLB this year and we were way ahead of where the defense was last year. We lost a true #1 corner. We lost one of the greats at MLB and our defense is better now at not giving up points than we were with them. 
 

Middle linebacker doesn’t make as much of an impact on the whole defense as it once did. There are other positions that impact it way more now.

Shaq > Bradberry was another huge mistake and I think that really shows up in our 3rd down defense.

Not keeping the right people up front wasn't on Luke.

Having a great MLB will always be football! What?

Luke used to make Bree's and Bradys lives heck for quite some time.

What?!? I'd take a Parsons at 7. If I'm at 10-14 I'm looking at a NFL ready Trask, depending on who may fall.

It can be Charlie Brown as long as he has all the tools and the mentality to be a QB.  I'm not sold on the arm strength of Trask.  I've seen him make some good throws and only one or two with real zip on it.   

You throw those sweet on target passes without zip in college football but if you can put a football on a dime with some zip in the NFL.         You're name is Will Grier.
