Talk to me about Trask

I'm starting to wonder if he's making a big push up the draft board with teams internally

It's not often a guy has a season like this and then just quietly goes 5th in his position group, and the other extenuating momentum factors are there

The more options the merrier

For me

1. Lawrence

2. Fields

3. Lance/Trask

4. Trask

5. Wilson

It's a tough year to be a standout in this class, got some ballers.

I'm not really giving guys credit for college stats, especially Lance and Wilson, because the NFL is the big show, bigger, stronger, faster. Competition on regular mortals is brutal. The NFL is where physical freaks go to play and dominate. I'm still not sure Fields won't drop because if you look at Lance, might not he be the better version of Fields? Combine will put the two in competition for teams wanting a dual threat QB.

If I'm at #7 I'm picking Micah Parsons and moving up for Trask. That and adding a couple free agent OL and maybe another LB or two, we good!

Spending a disproportionate amount of our premium resources on LBs has worked out so awesome in the W/L department for the Panthers. Why wouldn't we continue with this winning philosophy?

Parsons is a great talent that could be a huge compliment to a sound defense. Unfortunately we have too many glaring holes to get him (OL, CB, FS, and QB). We could probably pick up a FA or MLB in the 3rd/4th that would be an instant upgrade over what we have.

We need a MLB. Yes, Panthers have had a rich history of MLB. Luke was a success. What is it you guys don't understand? The Panthers have had great success as a middle market franchise, undue success some would feel. No Superbowls, true but weve always had divisional success although not of late, 2NFC Championships. Although we've been bored to death at times, especially between Jake and Cam, this is a respectable franchise. We've got quite a few HOF guys coming up soon.

MLB is a top need for this team. Yes getting the next Luke is priority. This QB class is so rich we can do both and compete soon. Parsons is that guy, don't sleep.

I like our defense. They can play. Adding Parsons would take them over the top.

We've had disproportionate success at MLB in large part due to investing disproportionate resources at the position. We had the best MLB in football last year and a bottom 10 defense. The Seahawks have the best MLB in football this year and they have the 31st ranked defense. Non-pass rushing LBs just no longer have the impact on the game that they used to. We need to realize that and stop throwing so many resources at them. This isn't 1980s football anymore.

What?!!

Middle line backer = quarterback

One just plays longer.
