Talk to me about Trask

From reading most of these posts Trask may be an ideal fit.  He's accurate and isn't a one read QB.  Most importantly he has the arm to throw deep.  It would be wonderful if we had a young Cam again but that isn't going to happen.  You need a smart QB with all the tools that can execute the offense.  Including stretching the field. 

I don't know what we would do.  It will be one of those decisions where we are going to say.  We coulda had him or We coulda had so in so.

UNC had virtually all of their offensive success in the first two drives. Once ND got the feel for how Phil was planning to attack them it was over because Phil didn't have a counter punch.

Trubisky has been a disappointment in the NFL, but he was definitely elite in college.

UNC is 5th in total offense and 64th in defense. It does not seem that offense is an issue. ND is one of the best defenses in college football.

Offensive talent isn't the issue, but the offense could be a lot better with better game planning. Yesterday's lack of adjustment isn't even close to being the biggest flub this year. That was when Longo practically refused to throw a pass in the 1st half against FSU because he was so hell-bent on establishing the run against a D that was selling out against the run.

That’s saying something because they gave up over 400 yards to a backup True Freshman. Which is not good.

also, their offensive line is woof. Although, Howell hangs onto the ball way too long. Not impressed with their OC either.

I believe you’re correct. From 17-18 he was the OC/QB Coach.

See now I am back to undecided..... What a tough decision.  The part I don't like is that he doesn't have the ability to throw with zip.  I will say the last game I saw him throw.  He zipped a couple of passes in. 

I'll be happy with whoever we choose because I believe this staff knows exactly what they want. 

BTW Ian Book reminds me a bunch of Mahomes.  He's able to extend plays with his legs.

I haven't been one way or the other on him but watching the 1st half yesterday he showed me an amazing escapeabililty.
