He was pretty terrible when he did play and honestly he probably did actually do what was alleged. It’s just that they have no winnable case against him with witnesses being charged for extortion.

That said, yeah probably. He’s definitely got the potential to be very good.

why do you say he probably did it?

Nah, even if all this isn't true, he was a head case in NY. They benched him cause he wasn't putting in the work, was going against coaches. That is not a Rhule guy.

Sometimes guys need a wake up call. By his own admission, Robby Anderson was basically a fug up at Temple at Temple and Rhule went to bat for him.

Speaking from not knowing much at all about the situation. What would two NFL players be robbing regular guys for? That never made sense to me. But again, this is about the first thing I’ve really read on it, so I probably missed something.

They were running with a group of gamblers and lost bad the night before. So Baker planned out how to get his money back the next day by robbing them. Then his lawyers got caught trying to pay off victims. You know big brain moves!!

A couple NFLers said " You know why players go gamble to Vegas, cause its safer" They said sooner or later that group you illegal gamble with, emotions and guns get the best of someone or a different group robs the group.

This guy was a stud in college, he was a 1st round pick in 2019, he is still very young. Go sign this guy now! Give him a look the rest of the year, if he is a bust then just cut him at seasons end. However, if he looks to be a stud and a keeper, that is one less position we would need to draft, it would be like getting a free 1st round pick to help the rebuild.

Yep, Im sure that report is somewhere online. I read a few times months or so ago. Same report of how they lost thousands the night before and how Baker planned to get his money back. Part of it is on camera(cars and lawyers giving people money).

Guys like this scare me.  You get to the NFL and you have to learn who to hang out with and who to not hang out with.  Right now it looks like Baker has not learned this yet.  It took Ray Lewis almost getting sent to prison to learn this.  If Baker continues to hang around guys like this it is just a matter of time before something else happens and it could be much worse.  If he has learned this lesson bring him in.  If not, stay as far away from him as you can.  That's why you talk to guys and check them out before you sign them.

All that said he isn't gonna demand near the contract he had before. He's damaged goods. Yet he has upside of a first round pick. That is the kind of deal smart teams make. That's what the Patriots did with moss Antonio brown and even the bucs with brown this year. Dont over think this, this is football not America's top role model.
