Anyone have excitement or positive vibes left for this season?

Season is starting to look pretty bleak. 5 game losing streak. McCaffrey set to miss more games, Bridgewater not playing well and now dealing with a knee injury, defense is getting worse by the game.

What are some things to be excited or positive about? High draft pick and new QB next season? Coaching staff hasn't let the team get continually destroyed like the Jets? We have football during a pandemic?

I like the rookies (thanks Rhule for giving Marty a list), like the fact that the coaching with no real offseason and tons of youth hasn’t rolled over and I’m hoping for a high pick/Stud QB. Just imagine having Samuel and Anderson roaming around free and someone to hit DJ in stride. Poetry.

I hope they keep Samuel around. He really developed into a crucial piece of the offense this season. It was a running joke last season that he was always getting open and Allen never even looked his way.

If we can manage to get Justin Fields or Trey Lance I'd be beyond thrilled. But I have a feeling we're going to end up with Sam Darnold.

If we'd out guys like Whitehead and Boston on the bench and give someone anyone a shot, it'd rekindle some of my interest. Maybe they look just as bad. It's probably likely. But damn, you can't just keep putting the same guys out there week in and week out when they're atrocious. That feels too much like Rivera.

Assuming yesterday was an isolated incident, seeing a team with little established talent on the roster be competitive is a positive.  I've been around bad teams before that were rarely in games.  It says a lot about Rhule.

Watching Burns develop should be a positive.  He was on the verge with me of thinking we needed to peddle him to a 3-4 team for best interests of both the team and him.  Boy did I get yanked back from that, and I am glad I did because I always thought he could be good in the right situation.

Chinn is another plus to watch.  I've been happy with Brown.

My hope was that we saw some degree of chemistry on the team and development of our draft choices by the end of the year.  I think we checked those boxes off already.

And, I may be a fool, but I await with great anticipation the "reassignment" of Hurney.

...where'd you get this information?

I have long speculated there is a secret gay underground organization in the NFL and taysom hill and troy aikman are definitely a part of it. Maybe he's got some info about whitehead and boston tho, I'm not sure who all is involved.

I didn't go in caring about wins or losses.  I'm enjoying this season.  Games have been fun to watch.  Just about perspective of what is really going on in Carolina.  We are building from the ground up.

Yep. Some of us tried to tell people that anyone judging this season by the W-L record was about to endure a miserable experience.

Exactly.  It did not take Nostradamus to figure that out, but it was apparently beyond a lot of people.

Then again, I am pretty convinced we have a lot of people in the world that enjoy being miserable, so maybe we are seeing that, too.

I haven't really been upset much this year outside of certain times in specific games. It's actually been one of the more pleasurable Carolina Panthers in recent memory. I don't stress about the team, I am just enjoying watching some of these young players develop and get PT.

I will continue to watch.

Nah. Being a Panthers fan can make you miserable. Such a frustrating and disappointing team to root for by and large.
