Yes but he doesn’t help much. No such thing as throwing a receiver open or even trying a more intermediate pass.  He and Brady have far far too many check downs. 

opposing defenses know all they have to do is stay close to the line of scrimmage as they don’t have to worry about longer throws

He is what he is. Likeable guy, but not an NFL starter...at least not on a team that has hopes of actually contending for a title.

Definitely didn't look his best today, but until the defense can force a few punts, it doesn't really matter.

His stats are misleading because he checks down. I’d rather have a QB with the guts to throw for first downs consistently.

Teddy either throws to the RB, WR screen, or it’s a safe deep pass.

None of this is surprising - it's what he did in Minnesota and in NO last year. Dude is a fantastic human being but his current play makes Alex Smith and Tyrod Taylor look like Favre-esque gunslingers.
