There are maybe five quarterbacks in the NFL at any given time who don't have very pronounced deficiencies... They don't grow on trees.

These are the QBs currently in the NFL I would take over Teddy:

Wilson

Rodgers

Big Ben

Brady

Jackson

Murray

Allen

Dak

Brees

Ryan

Herbert

Carr

Burrow

Watson

Tannehill

Minshew

Tua

I would take Lawrence, Fields, Lance, Wilson and Trask over him coming from the draft this year. Teddy, as the season has gone on has shown me he’s not built for the long haul. And that was before the injury. Through 10 starts for Teddy and 10 for Kyle Allen, Kyle Allen had lead the Panthers to more points than Teddy. I expected to see marked improvement from our offense with a “real” QB in Teddy coming in.

Teddy getting signed was to be a bridge or trade bait if he played well enough. It was never a thought for the team he was going to be here in 8 years.

Bruh, I had a guy legit argue with me that Teddy was on par with Kyler Murray on the Huddle and he wasn’t “great.” I kid you not. Yikes.

I think people here just remember 8 years of hearing people complain Cam Newton’s completion percent sucks so when the completion percent king showed up they were willing to ignore all the signs that said he isn’t good enough to be the guy.

I'm starting to think we got suckered by Brady. He wanted Teddy because he knew Teddy knew the system and could do enough to show the full potential. Not achieve the full potential. Not even close to it. But at least pile up decent stats and show the system works and has the potential to produce an elite offense. We gave him the perfect situation to audition for a HC role and leave us hung out to dry. I just hope that we're already working on a short list of OC candidates if Brady gets the call this off-season.

i mean i think it's a steep slope downhill from here on out. Doesn't matter how good your offense is if defenders don't need to play safety. Maybe they turn it around or maybe brady learns what a tight end is but i doubt it.

of course the only likely alternative was having cam sit here, and he's disintegrating in front of new englands eyes.

we were always fuged this year

Bill O in Houston was an idiot to trade away Hopkins.

He traded arguably the best WR in football for an aging RB on a big contract who hasn't had elite production in years and a 4th round pick. Truly one of the worst trades I've ever seen. Just unbelievably bad. Like wouldn't even get accepted by the CPU in Madden bad.

At this point the season is washed anyway . I want him to chuck it deep just to see if he can do it a few times . Don't give a rats ass about ints anymore

He can't man.  It's just not in him.  He has made it this far by avoiding taking risks and that's who he is.  If he was capable of doing it, you wouldn't see us down 2 scores with 6 minutes left and him throwing a checkdown to a RB at the line of scrimmage on 1st and 2nd down...  or last week, down 2 with only needing a FG to win, no timeouts and a minute left, and he dumps it to the RB in the middle of the field near the LOS, TWICE, and burned roughly 40 seconds in two downs.  He just isn't wired to throw it downfield.  This is how he has played for years.

Getting CMC back will help a lot. We saw that last week when he had 151 total yards and 2 TDs.

Yep, he just doesn't have it. The few times we've seen him try to force the action in game winning drive type scenarios he's thrown bad INTs.
