This. No matter how meat and others think steve smith has lost it. it will be fox's head to roll at the end of this season, not smiths. he didnt cause us to have a 3-5 record.

the big cheese in Tenn realized the season was over....Collins was old and done....and that it was the perfect time too evaluate Young to see if he was worth keeping.

Bud Adams gets alot of respect from me for making that move. It showed he's got balls of steel. To come out and lobby for Vince like that, if Vince flopped, it would've made Bud look really bad. But Vince has won since then, and its made Bud look like a genius. Not alot of owners have the guts to come out publicly like that (including our own).

Personally even if Moore flops he obviously plays much differently than Jake and from what we have seen from Moore(in limited time) he goes through all of his progressions. We should at least be able to move the ball a little better and would give other teams something to keep in mind. Right now there is absolutely no respect for Delhomme from opposing defenses.

This is a long shot, but does anyone have a video, or willing to create one from the game on your dvr, showing the clip where smitty yelled at davidson on the sideline? I was watching the game at a bar that had the sound on the giants game, and we couldn't make out what he was saying. I know what he said now, but I'd still like to see it again (I forgot to record the game...stoooopid me).

Arguing about this is really irrelevant... I'm not even arguing anymore. Our season is over. Im sad for Davis as an individual and all that he was doing, but I'm not even that sad. This is our season. Another win season, another lose season right behind it

For whatever you think of Smith, it's worth remembering that Meat has firsthand experience here. He knows better than any one of us what goes on behind the scenes.

Whether or not I agree, I'm inclined to listen to him.

No one player is above the team, and Smith isn't acting like he's above the team. He's doing everyone a favor by cussing out those tools on the sidelines.

Fox and Davidson don't make up the team, they just coach it, and they do a shitty job of it at that.(more so Fox than Davidson)

Coaches yell at players when they fug up, I be damned if I wouldn't cuss out Fox's dumb ass if I was a player.

I think the players are less "scared" of the repercussions of voicing their opinions. Maybe they think getting traded for mouthing off isn't a bad thing, and could save their career. Either that or help sink Fox's ship faster, either way they could view it as a win/win.

You're right, the coaches who have placed the team in the position it's currently in need to be spared at Smith's expense.

No He's a professional, you just don't do it the way he did it. Can he get mad yes, he can yell all he wants behind closed doors. You just don't do that on TV, when your supposed to one of the Vetern players on the team.

I've been in favor of a Coaching change and meat has some good points. While Smith is a great player, you shouldn't keep getting away with stuff and come away with only a smack on the wrist or nothing at all. Something has to be done and if getting rid of Steve for draft picks is the only way to fix Smitty's issue then it's got to be done.

As far as I'm concerned what Smith did should get him a suspension for a game. Next week vs Atlanta. ( I thought he should've gotten more games for the punching a teammate incident)
