If we're the solely going off of yardage Robby is #4 are you considering him elite?

His yardage looks good but what about his WR route running & hands.

I mentioned his YAC being elite, but he is not a complete WR yet so I can't call him elite

Robbie is definitely elite this year.

Yep. And 9th last year playing with a busted shouldered Cam, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier.

Which brings up a question...

Outside of McCaffrey, Moore was probably the best receiving option the team had last year. There's an argument to be made that he's only the third best this year (again, not including McCaffrey).

Would you disagree?

Curtis looks so good in this offense, it's hard to let him go.  I'm with Robby as WR1.  He makes catches that elite receivers do.

I love DJ's yac, and he's a good dude.  Doesn't seem to have much of a killer instinct.  But of the 3, DJ has the most trade value, and we won't be able to sign all 3.  DJ is a proven very good receiver, good be better in a different system (?) and he has 2 more years left on his rookie contract, albeit one will be a 5th year option that will be well over 10 million a year, but with receivers making what they are these days, he does appear to be the one to let go.

Not going to worry about it till after the season.

The real question is, what could we get for DJ?  No one is giving up a first.  Could we get a second?  With the salary cap affecting free agency (and trades) so much next year .....it's going to be interesting.

Or could we trade him for a young safety....3 tech dt....left tackle, inside ol, mlb, or any other of the vast needs this team needs to fill?

The best argument for keeping DJ is that the kind of offense we run is probably more effective if you have three good receivers as opposed to two.

If you want to let one of them go, I kind of hope we sign or draft a good number three. That, or upgrade the tight end position.

Cause he's almost always running a long developing go route, teddy just doesn't have the time with this OL and the rare chance he does have the time he's already past him in the progression.

It's clear Rhule thinks Moore's a third. When in reality Anderson is a 3rd/Possession receiver and Moore is the first. I think Moore's drops early on this season had a lot to do with Rhules "Dog house". Rhule has this one Bass Ackwards.

Agree with your 1st statement - not sure about the 2nd one.

I admit there’s some frustration with DJ though. Anderson and Samuel seem to have a tenacity when it comes to making catches that I don’t quite see in DJ. It’s odd because he was a beast @ Maryland and I’m not sure what it will take to ignite that fire. JMO

I think there's a lot of smoke but no fire here. Just shaking things up during the mid-season, looking at the potential for a controversy and running it up the flag pole to see if anyone salutes.

DJ is still on his rookie contract and is at a very easy to keep level of pay. So why even bother discussing it? He's still got good yardage on the season in an offense that can and does send five receivers into plays (counting CMC/Davis) on a regular basis and three receivers on just about every other play. Someone isn't getting the ball in any given game, perhaps as a decoy or just because the matchup isn't optimal. It can also have to do with things that don't deal with the receiver such as getting pressure from the side of the line too much or the tendency for a linebacker to sit down in the zone between that particular QB and the receiver. Heck, maybe even the QBs neck hurts when they turn it a certain direction and inclination. Soooo many factors.

Anderson is right now the #4 leading receiver in yardage for the NFL. DJ is #13 in the league and Samuel is #56. There's no real controversy here when you look at the stats. Heck, how many HCs would give their left nut to have their top 3 receivers in those spots all together? Heck, Mike Davis, our backup RB is in the Top 100 for the league!!!

There's no controversy here and I just don't see why we have to make one.
