Odd man out?

I’ve said before that there is no way that we should keep all 3. We would likely end up with $50M tied up in 3 WR in two years when Robby and DJ are due new deals so one of them has to go. Personally I’d rather just let Curtis walk unless we get him for a bargain which is increasingly unlikely with his recent play.

Should we re-sign Curtis then we should seriously look at trading DJ or Robby this offseason then draft a replacement.

We see flashes with DJ but Dj, as far as I can remember, never has that game winning catch. More often  than not he will make a circus catch and then drop an easy one

he is no Steve smith and that’s what we all hoped he would be

i just feel like there is not enough fire in him. He strikes me as someone who plays football for the money but doesn’t love  it   Not a sin it just seems that way from the outside looking in and maybe Rhule sees that too as his mantra is basically ‘work hard  be passionate  but be smart ...and I believe Moore went into the dog house a bit with that 15 yard unsportsmanlike in the end zone a bit ago

he is a big of an enigma

Smith has wavered between saying the team had finally found his replacement to calling him out.

The thing I remember about his rookie season is that it felt like they used a lot of alternative plays like reverses and such to get the ball in his hands by means other than passing. It almost felt like they considered him as much a running back as a receiver, but I always questioned what that meant as far as their take on his receiving skills.

This year, I still don't feel like I know the answer to that.

If it comes down to a choice between trading Moore or trading Anderson, I think we know what direction that's gonna go.

Are the contracts on all 3 due at the same time?

Anderson was only signed to a one year deal as I recall, and I believe Samuel's rookie deal is up after this season. Moore's contract still has a little longer.

Pretty sure next season is the one where they have to make a decision on Moore's fifth year option also.

2 year/$20M for Anderson

Keep in mind, we're talking about a 23 year old WR on pace for 1100+ yards which would be back to back 1100+ yard seasons. If we trade him, it better be for a LOT.

They've already soured on Little. Regardless of whether or not it's the right decision, if they were to also move on from DJ Moore that wouldn't exactly help pad Marty's rep, would it?

Little has looked like a bust. Moore has looked like an emerging elite WR. He's open a lot. For whatever reason, Teddy isn't looking his way.

DJ would almost certainly be the odd man out but he would also be worth a whole lot more in a trade with his age and having two years left on his contract. If we can get a late 1st for him I’d probably pull the trigger. He’s going to want a big raise either this year or the next.

And yet the team might still move on from him.

Really makes me wonder if stuff is happening behind the scenes.

DJ being traded because we couldn’t or didn’t want to pay him isn’t really an indictment on Hurney. At bare minimum, DJ has met expectations of where he was drafted which is how Hurney should be judged.

Little on the other hand has obviously been a disaster this far.

Cause he's almost always running a long developing go route, teddy just doesn't have the time with this OL and the rare chance he does have the time he's already past him in the progression.

It's clear Rhule thinks Moore's a third. When in reality Anderson is a 3rd/Possession receiver and Moore is the first. I think Moore's drops early on this season had a lot to do with Rhules "Dog house". Rhule has this one Bass Ackwards.
