Could he be put on the field to run routes, cause mismatches, and give opportunities to open up plays for other players with sparingly getting the ball and not taking too many hits?

I don't have an issue with him playing. What concerns me is back to back injuries for someone who hasn't been injured. He's by far been the workhorse of our team and has carried the team in many games. That type of workload will wear anyone down. We have a capable and complimentary back in Davis. Split carries when CMC is healthy to prolong his career...

i had a back injury 22 years ago and my body still isn't the same

some of these things just linger forever and never 100% heal
