^ so you’re telling me he only plays on 1st and 2nd down and STILL is second among rookies in pressures? Impressive.

As I said I am willing to give him another year, but if doesn't improve then why extend his contact and give him super stud money.  I didn't say he bust like Little.  I am willing to see how he develops, but for the 7th pick of the 1st round.  I expect him to be better.

It's still splitting hairs for the sake of boredom. We've already had mad threads on this topic as well. It's not a new angle, it's just boring.

Maybe we should have another Teddy thread that inevitably turns into a Cam thread by the third reply. Would that be better?

Very happy with him! He’s playing great against the run and the pass. His 6 Tackles for loss ties him for 2nd place (1 shy behind the leaders) among all DT’s. He’s also commanded double teams already.

Not sure what more you could ask for.

Just guessing that some would like:

A test tube embryo that is a cross of Alan Page, Jerome Brown, and the Loch Ness Monster.

A DT with more QB hurries than actual plays in a game.

Probably some silly stat that would allow them to be ahead of their wife and her best friend in fantasy football.

Really think about this...

Huddle logic had Burns as a bust, and we needed to trade him...

Yeah, the genius' here wanted that.

U might wanna go look up my history. As a Florida state fan myself, and looking at my post about drafting exceptional athletes where do you think burns falls?

I would love to see a cut up of these pressures hes forcing on the qb. I see the statistic and with burns you see hes inches from a sack almost every play. With Brown i have really yet to see him get close unless the pocket is push up by the outside rush. I personally think he looks very Star like. Star had 3 sacks his first year and Brown could be in line for similar.

Which is the point. In a pass first league, is a player like that worth a top 10 pick? We had that with star and the panthers brain trust said no and didn't care to resign him. This to me looks very similar to a movie we have seen before.

his expectations were basically shooting lasers out of his dick at the QB

he's been fuging phenomenal, and that's with no one next to him. After a year of nfl offseason training, diet, experience, and understanding what they're going to do to him at this level he's going to obliterate the world.

I think the bigger issue is that most fans have a problem with admitting they are wrong on draft takes. And I don't mean that to say they actively wish them poorly, but they make a judgment about who they wanted and can't see past that. IIRC, OP wanted Simmons(who is looking like a project) instead of Brown. Could be wrong about that but I seem to remember him being one that was enamored with the Underwear Olympics results.
