ALL STARTS IN FREE AGENCY   hate to say it but hurney will still be here people hate him or dislike him atleast we know what we will be getting with hurney . in free agency its important that we build this offensive line this should be our # 1 priority , we need to spend this is the time people bring in atleast 1 star lineman and one mid ranged lineman , we also need a veteran tight end like hunter henry or trey burton would be ideal . we should also get a veteran corner as well . for the draft i might be an outsider and will be hated but i think we should go all defense once again with a focus on the defensive back spots . bridgewater buys time at the qb position im  not sold on trey lance i think hes just a runner and not a pocket passing qb which i dont want to see again ,no thanks .

1. Fire Marty Hurney. - Should have been done a long time ago

2. Address interior line - Get rid of the dead weight. Paradis, Reed, whoever else just can't cut it

3. TE - Thomas isn't the answer. It's a position we are by no means using to its full advantage

4. MLB - Nuff said

5. LT - Little/Daley who knows. Re-sign Okung if he wants to play or has the ability. If he stays injured the rest of the year, bring him back on the cheap. Otherwise buh bye.

6. RT - Re-sign Moton to a reasonable contract but be prepared to let him walk if someone else wants to overpay.

7. DB - We need help

8. Backup QB - Need to take a look here. PJ and Grier aren't good enough. Don't want to invest a lot but I'd be willing to take a flier on a small school guy that had the intangibles but just didn't play the level of competition that would get him drafted.

9. Get aggressive signing some linemen after the draft concludes. Inevitably someone surprises and slips by in the draft. We need to go and get some of these guys simply because our depth blows.

10. Did I mention fire Hurney?

I agree except I would not resign Okung. It’s time to stop patching.

Oline draft is weak after round one. However we will very likely be in position to take one of the top tackles.

Draft is also weak at LB but the talent starts in the second round anyways.

As far as center and guard, and secondary which the draft is mediocre for, need to look in later rounds but it won’t matter too much because it will take two drafts to get it done. If Samuel isn’t resigned it won’t be the end of the world, this draft has WR all over the place, but resigning Moton and investing in a future LT will be a great start.

Then next draft, I expect secondary and interior oline/center. It would be great time to also evaluate QB plans.

We should be a contender in two years even with TB, but may take 3 if the new qv is drafted. When I say contender is belong in the playoffs. May end up with a wildcard  before then.

And above all Rhule needs to be drafting these olineman, NOT Hurney.

Continue to draft defense and use free agency on offensive line, unless we have a chance at one of the top 4 QB's.

So continue doing the same and expect a new result? Continuing patching the oline? For what?

Now is the time when we have a decent QB for 2-3 years to build the oline. Hitting on a S or CB next year would be preferable after investing in the future oline and in turn the future QB.

We need a large center (height-wise) similar to Max Unger 6'5, 305lbs.

We need a RG and LG who can stop stuns, delayed blitzes, hold up against a bull rush, and open rushing lanes. Mike Iupati is a good example 6'5, 330lbs.

#1 CB, #2 CB. Move Jackson to the slot.

Upgrade from Tre Boston. Find a safety who either A: Sheds blocks like a beast and tackles like Jeremy Chinn, or B: Extremely athletic and glides across the field and ball hawks for INTs. Pick one.

Pass rushing DT, similar to Warren Sapp or Kris Jenkins ect.

We also need a tall athletic TE to win jump ball throws in the redzone.

Franchise QB for the future, high ceiling.

We can't fill all of these needs. We don't have the money and draft picks to do all of that. So what is going to happen is whoever falls in the draft to us at a position of need we be drafted. No crazy reaching.

In free agency we'll spend enough to grab a couple of players who can replace some of our worst players.

Draft pick possibilities round 1:

1CB - Patrick Surtain II - Takes the pressure of the physically crumbling Jackson, and locks down opposing #1 WRs.

QB - Trey Lance - Sits and learns a season from Teddy and our excellent coaching staff.

TE - Kyle Pitts - Teddy doesn't want to throw picks in part because Rhule HATES turnovers and would rather Teddy throw it away than put up a jump ball. With Kyle Teddy might have the go ahead to toss it high in the endzone to Kyle. Kyle = more TDs.

The draft is going to be shocking because there are so many options. I have no clue what who we're picking. Not like last draft where 90% of the Huddle thought it was going to be Brown.

3 key re-signings are Moton, Samuel and Miller. Assuming Moton and Samuel don't price themselves out of our range.

Key positions to upgrade are CB, MLB, LT, 3T, LG. Depending on Short and possibly Daley being used in the interior.

Upgrades could be had at several other positions but can get by with rest. Fixing 5 positions is a big ask as it is.

Everything you said except Okung.  33 year old O lineman don't magically get healthier in the NFL.  Okung would have been a great pickup 4 years ago but I just don't think his body will hold up to being a starter in the NFL anymore.

jawnyblaze i'm  just pooping you because you seem to run around pooping me and its funny.  i actually like your post above this one.

qb in round 1 if he's there, if not maybe mlb

at least 3 interior lineman in rounds 2-5

fill the rest in with whatever.

we really need good safety play for the 100th year in a row, more than a cb imo.

agree with everything but okung. Okung has done absolutely zero the last two years to make anyone pay him. He will retire. He wanted to before camp anyways. We need a starting left tackle. again. since jordan gross.
