I know a lot of folks will disagree, but.....

I think the fact that our coaches were afraid to let Jake win the game for us lost us the game.

Also- I think we shot ourselves in the foot today with Stewart. I KNOW he is a GOOD RB, but Williams was damn hot.

Stewart averaged only 2 yards per carry (i believe) while Williams was ripping the Saints apart.

His fumble on the goal line was the deciding factor in the game, but we should have never been in that situation to begin with.

We played with swagger in the 1st half- we played scared in the 2nd.

This one is on the coaches. I think Davidson needs to rethink what he is doing, and if they are going to let Delhomme play they need to let him take more shots down the field.

I think you could tell Delhomme was getting frustrated with the ultra conservative play calling. And INT's or Not- I DONT BLAME HIM..

7 minute 70 yard drives wont win games when you only get 3 points.

Why would a lot of folks disagree? It's obvious that this loss, aside from the Saints coming back strong, is much due to bad coaching. YOU JUST DO NOT PLAY CONSERVATIVELY WHEN FACING A DOMINANT OFFENSE. You can't just keep running and running and running and then punt whenever you face an offense like the Saints..You HAVE TO take every fuging opportunity you got to get points on the board. We did not do that.

Why are people upset over Davidson not letting Delhomme throw it more? Is 13 interceptions not enough for you? Davidson called a great game. Its what we have to do since we can no longer trust Jake.

Read 52's post.

You dont beat the Saints (400+ yards a game) by only passing 15 times a game.

I would have rather lost the game with Jake throwing 3 INT's trying to score TD's than what happened today.

A loss is a loss- Today we held OURSELVES back...

No one to blame but the coaches.

The Saints had as many as NINE people in the box at times..and we STILL ran it on 3rd down....If they mistrust Delhomme that badly...then get someone else in there..Moore can hand the ball off just as well as Delhomme can.

i agree, delhomme sucks, but if you play him at qb, you have to let him play. this 'prevent offense' we're running is making us one dimensional

we lose because of our passing game, i'm sure players realize that. now would be an ideal time for a lot of guys on this team to cash it in and quit after the debacle that game was. we should have won but refused to be more aggressive. teams lineup to stop dwill, he gets 150 yds and it doesn't matter because of the incompetence of jake, playcalling, receivers (jarrett dropped huge pass, smith had one go if his hands over the middle, dwill dropped a few)

watching the games are so frustrating because the same problems keep resurfacing, while our strengths are doing well, sure the saints had some big pass plays in the 2nd half, but they scored 30 points, some of that off turnovers, they are a team averaging 40 and our defense helped us get points. defense did enough, special teams did enough, passing game was not there for us

I think Jake played well enough in the second half. Great? Perhaps not. If he played like that in the first half, I believe we would have been up by a bit more going into the half. If we want to win games, I think we need to cut it loose and go all out. Let Jake make a mistake before you pull your gameplay back.

The problem with all the performances that Jake made throughout the season(while not taking the blame away from him fully), was the coaching just kept letting him make the same mistakes. They'd see Jake struggling, and just keep letting him do the same things anyways. Now they're going the complete opposite, which is hurting the Panthers all the same. They're not letting him do anything. It needs to be somewhere in the middle. Let him try to win the game for you. If it doesn't work out, have enough sense to pull it back. Being a one dimensional team is going to get us no where.

I see where you're coming from, but no one can expect 30 pts to come from running the ball ONLY...SOMETHING must happen on the other side of the offense too.

i love delhomme....love him! but the way he has been playing this season, makes me understand why the coaching staff doesn't want to put the game in his hands. settling for FGs, when we where on N.O. goal line killed us!

I blame Davidson for having 1.7 YPC Stewart in the game at that point.

Williams was HOT!!!! but they wanted to prove Stewart could do something.

What ever happened to "Feed the stud"????

lol So you'd want Jake to throw 3 INTs and not give us a shot in hell of winning rather than just feeding our run game that this team is built on? If that happened, we wouldnt have had more than 3 points. Give me a break.

I do agree if u have a Qb use him and we might as well take direct snaps if our qb will not have a chance to throw it. Yeah Jake has struggled no denying that but he also is capable of winning games when he is mistake free and how many qb's don't throw int's?

All of them do, it is just that Jake had a bad stretch and I think he is ready to go. So at least give him a shot. I see the being up 17-3 as more reason to put your foot on the gas not to stop playing all together which we did. And after that Williams fumble how long did it take us to get down field with that horrible Qb?

i think delhomme bobbled the ball, and couldn't hand it off properly. hence the 6 yard loss. what a time not to have a fullback:ma:
