I don't mind trying to move Little inside at this point.  I'm not sure what else to do with him at this point.  He has not exactly lit the place up at tackle, and our inside OL has not exactly lit it up at all.

I wonder if he can snap the ball?  Well, let me clarify that, Paradis can snap the ball.  I wonder if he can snap the ball and then block?

I'm not sure you want a guy who doesn't know what to do if a pass rusher doesn't come right at him to be the guy calling the protection schemes.

We keep saying they are gonna implode from the cap

and they just keep winning games

ive been a big Marty guy, but some of our players just suck...and you can start with our OL

People who don't understand the most basic aspects of the cap say that. Its amazing how much time some spend discussing football yet never seek to know anything

Said it elsewhere: What encourages me about Rhule is he saw fairly quickly that Little wasn't getting it done. Rivera would probably have tried to defend him.

Also, it was reported that we were looking for MLB help, meaning he isn't beholden to Whitehead. Was a little worried about all his guys being brought in but now I think it was more for a culture affect.

Oh, I don't know.  Seems like I have worked for people who didn't know how to do the job, but were calling the shots.

Come to think of it, they weren't very good at that, either.

Not just Rivera. The Panthers have a long history of defensive coaching that only asked the offense to do "just enough".

Rhule spent a few years of his career coaching offensive lines, and said in college that a lot of what they did was dependent on having a strong wall of blockers.

I'm definitely hoping things change.

Hoping, I expecting it, so much already has...

Finding talent is finding talent and the saints have always done that. Hell they were the ones that signed Brees when everyone thought he was done. In contrast look at how little we have on this team and for the better of a decade have either not developed our talent or just missed in the draft. I

Which offensive lineman would you have preferred over McCaffrey, Moore, Burns, and Brown?

The underlying assumption of your question is a false premise. Those four players are good but look at the tweet again. The Saints drafting of their O line dates to Armstead in 2013 and includes players all drafted in the top 3 rounds, where one reasonably expects to find most starters. During this same time frame the Panthers have had 23 picks in this range and have used exactly 3 of those picks on the O line, non of them first rounders. The Saints have 3 first rounders starting on their line right now who were drafted in this time frame.

While I like all of the players you mentioned above, you pretty much cherry picked 4 of our best picks during this time frame and your question implies we could only have built the oline by not drafting one or more of them. There are 3 other first round picks beyond those players and an abundance of first 3 round picks that could have been used to draft a quality line comparable to the Saints without sacrificing those 4 very talented players. Instead all we got was Moton, who is in fact the one quality starter on the line overall, Turner, who was good for a couple seasons before being traded, and Greg Little, whom we all agree is the future rock of our line and everyone is glad we drafted instead of McCoy, who would have prevented us from having to watch the Matt Paradis show.

I sure hope so.  It not just addressing the O-line because we have addressed it just extremely poor.  Hurney has me so gun shy on trades because he usually Fs it up and selects a player that bombs.  So we lose a valuable draft spot and gain a player that is worthless.

Little seems to have been really bottomed out due to injuries (particularly concussions) and that you just can't plan for. Jeff Otah back in the day looked like a perfect road grader but then the knee went and there went a first rounder. Can't hold injuries against the drafter or the player.

Now Grier... I think that was a flyer on Cam maybe not being the same player he was or in case of injuries. Then Grier couldn't even win second string in camp against a UDFA. Then he actually took the field and he was worse than we imagined. Wow, there were some warning signs there (and better choices available) but man, how did the guy end up sucking that bad... did Rivera and Co. just toss the kid some coloring books and let him self babysit instead of practicing him?

Little wasn't good, or particularly athletic.  Then he started falling and Marty couldn't understand why.  He moved up to draft him while two much better interior offensive linemen were there for the snatching...then he got injured.

He's just not a good football player, and yes, injuries aren't helping.

The Grier pick was stupid.  Period.
