He's a very solid sleeper CB fr fr. Not a huge college fan, I just watch for prsopects I think that have potential to go to the panthers and enjoy scouting individuals. What's your opinion on Chazz Surratt and do you think he will be able to get off blocks at the next level??

Surratt is a future nfl all pro

I am really really holding out hope for Jaycee in the second. He has been slept on hard and I truly think he is the best CB in the nation over the past 3 years. He doesn't have the ball production in years past mostly due to never being targeted but he also didn't capitalize on the couple opportunities he did have. You can leave this guy out on an island and he will shut down just about any receiver.

FWIW, Israel Mukuamu is almost the exact opposite. He has the ball production and gets the hype but he really is probably only the third best CB on the team behind Horn and John Dixon. Muk is going to get overdrafted because of the INTs and the length.

Wow, some high praise for sure. I've watched his tape and I love his range and instincts a lot. Also a huge upgrade for coverage LB compared to the garbo we have right now lol. I'm not as impressed with Dylan Moses and some people are, I'd much rather get OL or DB in the 1st round and then hope for Surratt to last to us in the 2nd round.

I'm a big fan of Georgia's Eric Stokes and Ohio State's Shawn Wade.

The best FA is obviously Peterson if you can afford him. Shaquille Griffin is a young one you'd have to pay for as well. Or take a chance on a vet like Jimmy Smith or even Xavier Rhodes who is playing well again this season.

Then there is trade options in which Gilmore is the tops there. Or you can take a chance on youth like say former owl Rock Ya-Sin.

I think Caleb Farley is the cb1 but Horn is fine, he's got talent and size and all that stuff you look for in a first round corner and I bet he probably tests well too

I really like Caleb Farley as well. I was just thinking he will probably be selected shortly after our 1st round pick because him and Surtain are in a class of their own (shaun wade being a tier very close under them IMO). If the board fell to us nicely I'd love to trade back a few spots, get Farley and pick up some more draft capital. We all know that's beyond Hurney's capabilities though lol.

Douglas is nice and if we can get another strong perimeter CB outside the numbers to pair with him then put Donte in the slot, that would be ideal for his skill set.

Surprisingly, Corn has been playing, really, really well in the slot for us this year.

Donte has been the weak link in the cornerback room.

Donte just can't stay healthy and be consistent. He is by far the biggest playmaker in our secondary.

Availability is an ability.

So is consistency.

So is tackling... We can all agree he is not great in that regard. Dude is so small he bounces off anyone he tries to tackle.

Donte has I think 3 picks this year but they seem less like great coverage plays and more "Right place right time" kind of deals.

In this draft Surtain is the best, followed by Farley and Wade. Stingley is the best in college, but is only a sophomore this year. I usually don't say this about any position except for QB, but Stingley is a player I would be okay with aggressively moving up in the draft for.

Javon Holland is the best safety in the draft, he sat out this year due to covid.
