So how many legit starters did we get out of this draft?

Don't be so fast to call all the players playing well now starters for the future.  For the 2014 draft, after the 2015 superbowl, I thought we had 5 starters.  Now 5 years later, 1 player is on the team and he is 1 of only 2 players from that draft still in the NFL.  And he spent 3 years with other teams before coming back here.  So things change quickly, just saying.

Brown's the only guy playing above average for his position right now. YGM and Chinn need to improve some to deserve starting roles but they project to get there. The safeties are just playing because there's no other bodies right now.

Throw in Rasul Douglas, though, and that's suddenly a lot of young talent on defense. Looks like we had an extremely successful offseason.

Yeah I remember him looking amazing that camp but honestly I doubt it would’ve ended much different for him. He never had an NFL work ethic. The knee injury may have expedited his decline but I don’t think he ever would’ve become a star like he could have based on his raw talent.

Yeah, he was probably heading the David Boston route no matter what. At some point he was going to incur an injury due to carrying too much weight and suffer a steep decline

I don’t think he had a work ethic period.

At least Derrick Brown and Jeremy Chinn.

YGM looking like he can develop into a starter.

Bravvion Roy looking super solid for a 5th round DT.

Really hoping to see at least one of our DBs develop into a starter. I like Troy Pride Jr, but he's taken some lumps to say the least. STO could be a surprise. Kenny Robinson not being enough to push Tre Boston concerns me.

Oh yea, Joseph Charlton counts as a starter. TURN UP!

Really liking what I'm seeing out of Sam Franklin. Reading his draft profile stuff leading up had him coming across as a Great Savings Jeremy Chinn.

Brown, Chinn, Roy, Franklin, YGM.  (Maybe Pride).  So 5-6.  We need MLB and FS badly.

Technically Franklin was undrafted, but I think we should allow it. Brown, Chinn, and YGM are definitely starter caliber.  Roy will at least be a a solid rotational player (think Kyle Love), and, IMO, the jury is still out on Franklin and Pride. Don't get me wrong, I like what I'm seeing so far on both, I'm just not ready to call them long term starters yet.

Chin. Is getting national recognition and the vets on the team are mentioning that the team needs to match his intensity.  He’s probably a captain on the d in 21 or 22. Yea he needs to grow and is making some mistakes but I think he is a solid starter in this team and probably could be for many more around the league.

Brown and Chinn. I'm not gaga over anybody else just yet.

One thing I hope they do with Brown is work on the penalties. It's not that he commits a lot of them, but the ones he does commit have a habit of coming at really unfortunate times.

Could easily just be a rookie thing, so...

Did we get 4 total from the previous 4 drafts combined?

2017 was a good draft. CMC, Moton, Samuel, Armah, Elder (5th rounder stuck with us) and Butker. 4 starters right there and two backups/role players.

Only the two Marty only drafts in 2018 and 2019 were talent draining and we had two extra 3rd picks.

So glad we got Rhule and co this year. Draft felt 1000 times different than the reaches and WTF moments of 2018/2019.

Looks promising but let’s pump the brakes a bit. Remember in 2014 we thought we had KB, Bene, Tre, and Ealy all as legit starters... Wound up being zero from that draft.

Exactly, just because a rookie is starting or getting a lot of playing time doesn't mean they are legit starters.  Could mean your other players were terrible.

We have a handful of rookies that have all got a lot of playing time and at times have done some good things, but all of them need to improve to become what I would call quality starters, which i fully expect some of them should.  Its normal for rookies to struggle so credit to Rhule for putting the young guys out there.

Ealy and KB had the same problem imo... motivation/heart.

Bene was pretty good until that leg injury.

Tre...might move him up to the KB/Ealy category. (Still a good pick for a fourth rounder)
