Do the Panthers have a prayer on Sunday?

One thing that's been clear is that nothing is a given this year, other than the Panthers ability to keep things competitive even when they have no business doing that from a talent standpoint. Just last week, two previously 1 win teams (Minnesota and Cincy) led two 1 loss teams (GB and Tenn) from start to finish, and one of worst teams in the NFL by most objective metrics came up a failed 2 point conversion short of forcing overtime against the team many pundits are calling the NFC favorite to go to the Super Bowl.

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if we win, but unlike most of you, not at all surprised if we keep it competitive. Hell, I expect it.

Vegas has us as 10.5 point under dogs. Surprised they have that much faith in us.

Defense is going to have to step up in a major way and have us go up + 2 on the turnover battle.

Seems as if we’re going to have to put 30 or more to pull this off.

Seems very unlikely but this is the NFL and stranger things have happened.

2  biggest matchups of concern:

Travis Kelce against our LB’s and Safeties.

DT Chris Jones against the interior of our o-line.

Is there a chance?  Of course. Is it likely? No.

They have the 27th ranked run defense.  Ball control offense is our best friend against them, keep their offense of the field.  We have to convert on 3rd and score TDs in the red zone.

I really doubt we win, but I don't think it will be the blowout many think it will be

Carolina 20

KC 27
