Halfway through the season, what were you most wrong about?

I was most wrong about there being a season this year.  I did not think it had any chance of happening - certainly not making it this far.

I was skeptical about the signing of Rhule. As someone who is reasonably good at speaking in front of a crowd and making it sound good, I'm keenly aware that isn't necessarily a skill that translates into football acumen or winning at the NFL level. I thought his college success was heavily predicated on recruiting second tier athletes and then motivating them in the locker room to outperform. I liked him as a candidate better than some other options, but not as much as Bienemy. I am generally skeptical of college coaches jumping to the pros because a lot of times it doesn't work and I suspected Rhule might be another one of those. When he brought along Snow, I was dubious.

They are already better than I expected and I see evidence of a key trait I coveted: flexibility. These guys find a way to make what they have work or to maximize the performance of players that other organizations can't or won't.  It will be interesting to see how this pair continues to  perform over time as they become less of an unknown quantity to the NFL, but I have seen enough to say I am happy to have been wrong about them.

I was most wrong about their being a NFL season....  I was 100% convinced there was no way there would be season....

Offense: I wasn't expecting big numbers from our TEs, but I was at least expecting them to be effective.

Defense: Had high hopes for KK to return to form, but after this latest injury I'd be surprised if he didn't retire considering he was mulling it over last year due to the difficulty of the rehab iirc.

ST: I thought this would be a dumpster fire but ST has been holding its own for the most part

Overall: I predicted 10-6 after some heavy day drinking, and while it looks like the team won't hit that optimistic mark they're showing all of the promise and development that I've been hoping to see! :D

I thought our games would be higher scoring.  I was expecting something like scoring 30 ppg, defense giving up 35.  Its a more toned down 22.5/24 instead.

I thought we were a 5 or 6 win team with McAffrey...working him like a dog.  And we would be a 2 win type team if we didn't have him.  We are better than that.

The rookie QBs this season outplayed my expectations, making me regret the Panthers not pushing for one last season.

I predicted 6-10 back in the summer to the eye rolls of the faithful here.

3-5 is about right, but injuries have me worried that we won't get 3-5 in the 2nd half

I guess I could change mine form defensive to being competitive. No way I thought in each of the first 8 games theyd be close with many chances to win in the losing ones.

I was hoping a season recovered from injury Paradis could be a serviceable center. Not great, not terrible, just not a liability every fugging time he snaps the ball. I was wrong.
