How do you figure?

Look DeShaun is a quality guy no doubt, but his squad made playoffs last season and won a game...

...Teddy inherited a dumpster fire with an unproven college coach that was expected to go 1-15 if not 0-16 .

Teddy = 3-6.  DeShaun = 2-7.

How do I figure? Watch them! Watch them both! DeShaun has won a playoff game. Teddy never has. Teddy has never thrown for more than 14tds in a season. DeShaun has. Our offense has more talent than the Texans by far. We slaughter them at both WR and RB. Even the ESPN power ranking you linked acknowledged that Teddy has 0 reasons to not succeed in our offense.

You’re making the conclusion that your record determines how good you played QB. Mitch T has a better TD to INT ratio than Teddy and a better winning percent this year. Does that mean Mitch is better than Teddy?

Watson is averaging 8.8 to Teddys 7.9.
Watson is averaging 297 passing yards per game to Teddys 268.

Watson is 8th in touchdown passes. Teddy is 21st despite playing one more game.
Watson has 5 INTs to Teddys 6.

Watson has been to two pro bowls. Teddy none.

Watson earned a contract. Teddy had to settle.

And don’t give me the “Vikings were run first” on behalf of the Teddy Defense Team. If the opposing defenses were so worried about stopping the run against the Vikings, Teddy should have been WAY better than 14 TDs to 12 INTs and 14 TDs to 9 INTs.

Teddy has absolutely been to a Pro Bowl.

Teddy fought through a catastrophic injury and came back to earn a terrific transitional contract --- which will lead to a BIG follow-on contract.

Teddy's kicker missed a gimme last-play chip-shot in his sole playoff game...

You too are missing the point...

You have no point to make if you believe Teddy is in the same class as Watson. It’s a horrible take. It’s senseless. It’s about as homerish of a statement as one could make. It’s got to be a joke but every day you dig the hole deeper. Teddy was a ball control QB in Minny but forgot to control the ball well. The only thing that is missing points is Teddy at the end of games.

LOL.

The point is no QB has the ability to win games by himself....which is exactly what you expect TB5 to do.

PS...I do believe Teddy is in the same class as DW.  25-18..26-19...want to assign those?

I never said the QB had to win alone. You continue to put words in others posts that aren’t there. Watsons worst year is better than Teddys best. If you had a draft today with every player in the NFL in it Watson would go well before Teddy.

Teddy made it in as a replacement. Apologies. Even Viking fans were surprised and didn’t think he deserved to be in even as a replacement.

Wtf lol imagine someone on Reddit or another message board linking a Huddle thread to support an argument.

”Brian Burns sucks...look at this thread on Carolina Huddle where they talked about wanting to trade him”.

Want to assign all the other stats I’ve already provided that shows even this year Watson is better? After that I’ll continue to play this game. How is it Watson has scored more than Teddy despite a lack of talent around him? The Texans top RB would be our third. Their top WR MIGHT be our third. How come the Texans are scoring more than us? How come Teddy isn’t averaging the same amount of yards per game? Why is Teddys TD to int so much worse than Watsons? Why has Watson been the playoffs multiple times but Teddy hasn’t? Why in a ball control offense did Teddy turn it over so much in Minni? I could go on and on but anyone thinking Teddy is in the same tier as Watson is trolling.

Brady isn't going to be here for a few more years. He might not be here next year. If he goes, let him take Teddy with him (via trade).

What are you basing that off of? Preseason hype?  If our offense is getting outperformed by our defense even with a much more talented roster comparably, that isn’t a particularly strong endorsement of Brady. He hasn’t done nearly enough in his first year to be talking about head coaching opportunities yet like it’s a foregone conclusion.

    • I mean.....his guy has to be someone willing to come so Geno Smith is out. If you mean RUSSELL Wilson, that is laughable. Fields and ZACH Wilson are just basically the beginning of the end. These aren't likely to be Geno Smith turnarounds. Fields is further proving that he just isn't much more than a gimmick player. Zach Wilson still probably needs a year or two under some better circumstances before I would consider him a candidate for being a turnaround. He is just jumping straight back into the NY Jets fire here.
    • This is factually incorrect. He was a two time Pro Bowler with the Rams and in fact statistically he was better with the Rams in his best season there than he has been with the Lions(could change with this season). Some of his per game stats have creeped into being marginally better with the Lions but there have not been dramatic differences in his play, actually. The biggest reason that McVay and he ended up splitting was McVay didn't think he could win a title with Goff. TBH.....so far he was 100% correct. Stafford almost immediately won them a SB and Goff in a historic run was about 70% of the reason the Lions faltered in the NFC championship game. He missed critical throws all over the first half and throughout the second half that he normally wouldn't. He choked. So, until Goff actually does win a SB...McVay has been right.
    • they have the best defense they've had in a long time...probably the best in the reid/mahommes era.  but i think they are probably the most beatable they've been in a while as well. record doesn't exactly bear that out, but they just don't look as strong on offense as they usually do. lots of reasons for that, like trying to build chemistry with newer receivers, but right now they just aren't as frightening as they typically are. i mean they'll probably win tomorrow, but i don't see them as the strongest team in the AFC right now.
