The completion earlier in the drive was a good play at a key time but total flashback to Jake just winging it out there for Smitty to jump up and get.

Man, complete bailout.  Albeit, he did get hit right as he was throwing that one, but really that was a great play by DJ.  The game very well could've been over then if it wasn't for him.

Agreed. But its not the same line. Teddy did with a poo line performance what cam did with a poo line. Which is get beat up. Cam did nothing since 2015 when the line was ok

I also agree, so why do they think having the same shitty oline with a less mobile qb is going to get anything done?

The ideal scenario for me is we get Lance or some other good prospect in the draft. And he sits for a year or two while we build up this line and let Teddy start next year and see how it goes.

i think that model is completely outdated at this point. now you draft a guy early and let him try to get a ring on a rookie deal

Eh, I think a year is still worthwhile if there is someone in front of them worth learning from and an actual organizational vision for the transition. Overall though I agree that high-rounders are drafted to play more or less immediately in today's NFL.

We all watched the same game, you seem to want to give this QB a pass when he couldnt do it himself at the end.

weird.

I'm genuinely not sure he should have been put back in after that hit.

He does deserve blame for his mistakes of course, but it's also true that I wouldn't put Michael Vick behind that line.

He really shouldn't have been. I mean he looked nauseous on the sidelines for a while after that hit.
