Or we need protection and a better qb. But if they want to start with getting a better OL and giving teddy a shot next year, that's cool too

Unfortunately, many of the folks reacting positively to this have been very vocal about not believing Teddy should get any shots. Their post history tells on em. ~\_(ツ)_/~

Again, putting people in a group. I’ve said the person we draft this year, should sit on the bench for a year backing up BridgetothenextQB.

Kinda like how you've been putting Teddy in that stopgap group all year? :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Because that is what he is and that is where he belongs. If this team keeps him past this year it won’t be because he turned a corner(He won’t, he will never change) it will be because the team is so good Teddy being a mediocre QB won’t hold the team back.
Like the 49ers with its high powered running game and top 5 defense. Even though I think Garoppolo is a slightly better version of Bridgewater. But only slightly.
This team is a few season away from a top 10 or 5 defense.

I like how the same people clamoring for a QB are the same people that whined about the Panthers never getting protection for Cam. :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Cam was an infinitely more talented qb so yeah people weren’t talking about him being a bridge qb because it was obvious he wasn’t even with shitty olines and weapons.

you cannot say the same about teddy. This really isn’t hard to understand but you and others are making it very difficult to have rational conversations about this.

I believe teddy's contract means he is almost definitely here next year. Its his third year and beyond that is up in the air.

Totally fine with people thinking Teddy is a bridge QB. Not fine at all with people suggesting that we go draft a day two QB in the first and stick them behind a porous offensive line as if that's going to make the team more successful. We saw Cam get killed and his career shortened by not adequately protecting him.

Offensive line, given the contracts and what's expiring, is in much dire need of being addressed. Cam stans can downplay Teddy all they want, but it doesn't change that no matter who is behind center they're going to get murdered.

Yeah.  Teddy is a bridge until his play suggests otherwise.  His contract is very team friendly and he's the right kind of locker room guy for a team in transition.

I would love for him to be more and maybe he becomes that, but its looking unlikely.

Cam was never a bridge qb.  Had things played it differently maybe that would have been his role this year.  But they didnt.
