True, Cam has 15 in his career.

Teddy has 5.

How many more would Cam have had if our D wasn't atrocious his first couple of seasons? The offense putting us in position to win late and the D giving up points at the end to lose was commonplace. Kinda the opposite of this year where the D has been making late stops giving the offense a chance and they fall flat on their face.

Asking for a friend, what's the difference in career starts/potential 4th quarter game winning drives?

Teddy has 42 career starts and 5 fourth quarter comebacks.

Cam has 130 starts and 15 fourth quarter comebacks.

There it is! The excuse train! The defense was only atrocious his rookie season thereafter it was mediocre at worst.... Including multiple top 5 finishes.

I'd say this: barring injury there's no way I want to see anybody else on our quarterback depth chart starting this season.

He may not be the future but he's definitely the immediate future.

Unless the line continues to play like it did last night.  No way he lasts a few more games taking that level of punishment

I think the better metric would be the possibility of a 4th quarter comeback/success or failure although I’m not sure how you can even get that data. And even then context needs to come in. Did the receiver drop a pass (funchess lol) ? Did the oline miss a block and no chance. The best thing you can do is use your eyes and see what is happening. That data compilation is virtually impossible though.

I mean, you can ask that of any qb and any team. Cam was the best QB by far the Panthers ever had. But the narrative that he was a master of the 4th quarter comeback doesn't hold up. Heck, Andy Dalton was drafted the same year and has many more than him.
